Ready for Fall Y'all!

Fall is so close but yet so far away!! I am ready for riding boots, leggings, scarfs and sweaters! I love Fall. It loves me. It is a pretty good relationship. I used to love Spring but as I have gotten older, fall is my season. There is something about apple pies, fall festivals, the leaves changing and wearing warm clothes! I find that Fall is pretty much the only season needed. Can we at least boot out winter?

I associate fall with so many things but I wanted to share a few of my favorites that make fall that special to me.

Pumpkin anything. I mean honestly, if you love fall, you have to love Pumpkin flavored anything. Last year I am pretty sure I lived off of pumpkin poptarts, PSL, pumpkin pies and rolls!

Scarfs, Sweaters and riding boots. This...so many feels. I am not a fan of summer clothes. I prefer to cover up as much as possible and with fall, I get to do that but still look cute. Give me some cute boots, leggings, sweaters and some scarfs and I am golden!

Fall Festivals. We have a huge festival here called the Apple Harvest Festival. It takes place the first 3 weekends in October and it is amazing. There is food, music, apple picking and vendors. I typically go 2-3 times when it is here.

Apples. I love my house smelling like apple cinnamon but I feel like I can only burn the wax when its fall or winter. I am so ready for apple pies, apple scents and apple butter!

5ks/OCR's in the fall. I LOVE running but it is so much better in the fall. It is cool out, the weather is good and its so pretty out. The runs do not seem as horrible.
Decorations. Fall has the best decorations. I love putting anything fall in the house. Pumpkins, mums, apples, etc. Anything goes and I love it!

What are some of your favorite fall things?

BSL/Montreal

My last post the other week was on BSL. I have not wrote in a few weeks and took a break from blogging. It seems fitting that I blog today as a complete dick turd has decided that there needs to be a law regarding pit bulls in Montreal. This tool bad is Denis Coderre. His took it upon him self as Mayor to pass a legislation that any dog that is or LOOKS like a pit bull type dog shall been banned. Now was it BSL you ask, well in Montreal, this is how it works.

The dogs it applys to is as follows:

They have banned pit bulls starting next month. The below dogs are what qualifies as a pit bull.
  • Staffordshire bull terriers.
  • American pit bull terriers.
  • American Staffordshire terriers.
  • Any mix with these breeds.
  • Any dog that presents characteristics of one of those breeds.
If you already own such dog, you will be able to keep them under certain conditions as follows: they have to be registered by the end of the year and the owners will be screened for criminal record. They must also provide proof the dog has been sterilized, micro-chipped and vaccinated against rabies. They will have to be muzzled when outdoors and kept on a short leash. If owners do not follow this bull shit, their dog can be euthanized.

To me..this is crap. This is all happening due to a lady who was killed by a dog that attacked. The dog was deemed a pit bull. When DNA testing was done, it turned out, it was not a pit bull. It was a rott, retriever and mastiff. Are they banned? Nope.

This is horrible. My dogs are now banned. Do I ever plan on going to this city? Nope. Not now. I will never ever go there. My heart is breaking for every pit bull owner in this city. I am sad for the lady and the family of the victim but punishing the entire city and breaking their hearts? How is this justice? It isn't. It is an abuse of power. It is taking something to far.

This is disgusting, horrible and disgraceful. I would be disgusted if I lived there and had voted for this man. I pray he gets explosive diarrhea, his car breaks down today and that a someone walks up to him and punches him right in the face.

My dogs are amazing animals and do not deserve this. They are sweet, kind and would not hurt a fly. They love everyone they come into contact with and have NEVER bit anyone. I am disgusted that a human being and others would vote to pass this law. I understand now everyone likes this breed, you don't have to. Just do not ban them. Do not be mean to them. Leave them alone. They are innocent animals. Humans are the problem.

Pitbulls/BSL Discrimination

If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time, you know I am a pit bull owner, lover and furbaby momma. My dogs are my life. The first dog we got together since getting married was a pit/lab mix(Zoey) and Itsy is a pit bull.

Last night when I was going for a walk with a friend, a pit bull ran out of its yard to us and was rather defensive. Me, being the lover of pit bulls, asked the owner if I could pet it and when they said yes, I went up to it. The dog was a little aggressive but I chalked it up to the owner having a baby with them. When I recounted this story today to someone they automatically said I was lucky I did not get bit by the dog. They did not know I have pit bulls. I looked at the person and was like what? They wanted to say how mean these dogs were and how they attack people. I had to make a point and tell them that studies prove that pit bulls are one of the most non aggressive dogs ever and that in fact, I own 2 of them. Typically when you meet people that do not like pit bulls and you tell them you own them, they shut their mouths.

I get it, not everyone likes pit bulls. Whatever. I could care less. Do not bash an animal or breed because of one deed that was done. You need to judge it case by case. You can not judge an animal based on the way it was raised. Of course an animal is going to be mean and vicious if it is raised to be that way. My dogs are babies. Itsy is scared of everything. If you raise your voice, she hides. If she sees a rabbit, she runs way. I have the wimpiest pit bull on the earth but if I take her out and about, people are scared to death of her. I walk in a charity walk every year with her to raise money for the SPCA. This past year a little girl was scared of her because she realized she was a pit bull. One of the volunteers asked me to stop, introduce my dog and let the little girl meet her. I am glad I did. This child was raised to hate a dog based on something her parents instilled in her. It is a bias that is unfair. I even have people who know me, my dogs and been around my dogs, but do not like pit bulls and will not watch my dogs at all due to their breeds. It blows my mind!

I love this breed. I will never own another breed of dog. I feel like they are judged poorly and treated wrongfully. People need to give them a chance. Pit bulls are big babies. They just want to cuddle, be loved and lounge around. My dogs are my world. I would do anything for them and if someone were to mess with them, it would be bad news. I am very defensive when it comes to them and when I hear people bashing their breed due to the media misconstruing a report of something I get upset. You can not believe everything you read online or see on tv. These dogs are amazing and deserve the chance to be understood.

Oreo Marshmallow Bars

Y'all I have found the easiest, lazy girl recipe on the planet. This recipe just called my name when I saw it. If you have been online within the last few months, you have seen this recipe as well. It is super easy and I had to share it because, why not! It takes 15 minutes at the most, 3 ingredients and a ready belly to eat!

Oreo Marshmallow Bars
1 pkg Oreo's (crushed)
4 tablespoons butter
1 pkg Jet Puffed Marshmallows (or 5 cups)
First, you crush your Oreo's with a food processor. I used my Magic Bullet.

Second, melt the butter and marshmallows on low heat the in the microwave. I let them get bubbly looking and stopped after that.

Then, mix it all together!!

Press the mixture onto parchment paper or foil. (I suggest parchment paper).

Slice into yummy bars and enjoy!

Judgemental People.

I need to vent today. A few weeks ago I filmed a short video and posted it on my YouTube channel. It was about my reaction to the Suicide Squad movie and how I thought the Joker was hot. If you want to see the clip, I have included it below. Now, the reason for this post is that I never ever post on my private Facebook any of my social media stuff. My blog is kept mostly secret from my family and friends. My YouTube is the same way. Well I decide to share this video on there. I thought it was funny and wanted to give people a laugh and get some views. I didn't think it would hurt anything.

Now my husband knows all about my blog, Instagram, Facebook, everything. I am very honest with him and I typically run a lot of stuff by him as a respect issue. I do every now and then post some of my weight loss stuff on my private Facebook but not all the time.

Well..apparently someone felt I am seeking attention. Someone on my private Facebook went to my husband who see's everything I post and told him he needs to give me more attention. That I am seeking to much online and that he obviously isn't giving me enough. Um..excuse me? I show him everything I do online. If I wanted your opinion on my marriage and how much attention I got, I would ask. Now, I do know who this person is and they are way to nosey for their own good.  They do not even have a Facebook and they looked at mine through their wife's page. I feel like I need to delete them off of my page. They are judging me from a funny video I made because I thought a fictional character was hot. I mean are you serious right now?

I am so fed up right now. Why are people so mean? I know I can not please everyone. I know people are going to say rude things. I expect that. I do not expect it from someone I personally know. This was the main reason I never shared anything from my blog and YouTube channel on my private accounts. I didn't want this stuff to happen.

Has this happened to you? Let me know how I should handle this. Should I delete the video or the people?

Weight Loss Update

I haven't given an update lately on my weight loss so I figured it was time for one! I have been busting my butt at the gym lately and it has really been showing. I have started adding in more things that 6 months ago I would have never thought of doing. I now tackle those free weights like they are nothing. I did have to ask for help with them in the beginning because they scared the tar out of me. I also have started doing assisted pull ups. I was only doing assisted dips but now I am doing the pull ups. I will be so happy when I can do pull ups on my own.
So far to date, I have lost 31 pounds. I remember when it was only single digits and thinking I was never going to get anywhere. I didn't give up though. I have just kept pushing my self to keep going. There has been so many times when I just wanted to eat bad or not go to the gym but if I did that, I would still be 195 and hating my self. I am glad I did not give up. Losing weight is not instant gratification. It takes time. It does not happen over night.
Every month or so I find myself having to add something new into my workout routine. I like trying new things. It is the challenges that help push me and keep me going. On October 1 I am running Rugged Maniac for the 4th time and I am praying that this time, I am able to complete more obstacles with ease. I am the fittest I have been in years and since starting my OCR runs. I hope I can make it up the warped wall at the end so keep your fingers crossed for me!
