Musical.ly

So I have discoverd a new fun app! Musical.ly! Now I know most people think it is just for teenagers but it isn't. There are just as many adults as kids and it is fun to play on. I downloaded the app months ago but only just started playing with it, this past week. I must say, I am addicted. I am still learning the tricks of the app and figuring out the camera angles but I am having fun doing so!

Musical.ly is an app where you can lip sync to songs, comedy sketches and upload ororiginal content. It is similar to vine except not as many people seem to be on it.

I have uploaded a few videos already and I am having way to much fun with it than I probably should have! If you have a Musical.ly, leave your username below and I will follow! Make sure you go follow me. My username is

Let's Be Friends Blog Hop

<---start html---="">
A blog hop is a set time frame for current or aspiring bloggers to find new blogs and quality content. It is a great way to make new friends and find inspiration! It is also a fabulous way to promote your own blog and posts.
Dear Friends, What a day to celebrate! This is the 164th week of the Let's Be Friends blog hop! Thanks for joining us on this special day. Chelsee and Tiffany are extremely delighted to see the way this hop has grown and love to see your faces each week! **IMPORTANT HOUSEKEEPING NOTE! We are looking for co-hosts for our blog hop for April! This is a great way to gain new followers and network with other bloggers! If you are interested please email thedwellingtree@gmail.com! Thank you!
Join us every Tuesday at 7am (MST). This blog hop focuses on content. LINK UP YOUR FAVORITE POST from last week in this fun content-sharing blog hop! I love the idea of blog hopping, but I love the idea of reading posts and quality content on new blogs I've never been to even more. Instead of simply linking up your blog button, you are now able to link up your favorite post you recently wrote. Have a delicious recipe to share, DIY tutorial, or heartfelt post? Share it with us! All hosts and co-hosts put up some unique and fun content from the past week. Make sure to check them out. P.S.- you may still link up your blog button and blog name, but it is encouraged to link up your favorite post instead. You will get more page views and interest if you do so! Some of the most successful blog hops I have participate in focus on content rather than just exchanging follows. You never know who will become a loyal follower or pin that delicious new recipe you posted!
The BEST part of this blog hop? Each week there will be a WINNER! That's right, each week we will choose one lucky blog to feature from the previous week's hop. This hop receives thousands of page views every week, so your blog will have the chance to be center stage for free. You must follow all the hosts and co-hosts in order to win. Only those who link up a specific post are eligible to be featured! *You must follow all the hosts and co-hosts in order to win.
The last exciting change is that the co-host spots will now be available to all sponsors of The Dwelling Tree or Southern Beauty Guide. If you are interested in co-hosting the blog hop, email Tiffany or Chelsee about sponsorship opportunities and how to co-host the weekly hop!

Blog Post: The Triplet Farm: 5 Great Ways You Can Support A BloggerThe Triplet Farm Hi everyone! This is Chelsee this week. I am all into making blog friends and supporting other bloggers. I have had blog friends that have been a shoulder to cry on, a person to celebrate success with and ones that back me up when I am in need. As most may know I am a host of the Bigs & Littles Blogging Network(which is taking a break for now). It never fails I get asked by my Littles how do I make blog friends and how to support other bloggers? This is a fundamental part of blogging and one I rarely see posts on, which is what intrigued me about Angela's post. I loved her ideas and recommend you check it out if you are in need of suggestions on how to support other bloggers. So what are you waiting for? Go check out the blog The Triplet Farm written by Angela. Trust me you will LOVE it.

Pinterest Fail!

Over the weekend, I had the best of intentions to make a homemade lemon blueberry cake from scratch. I bought everything the recipe called for, I had fresh lemons and had to zest them and squeeze them. Making a home made cake, seems fairly simple. A little flour, add some other ingredients and you should have a nice cake. NOPE! Not for me.

When my cake was baking, I thought it looked odd and when it started to bubble like a volcano, I knew it was wrong. I added baking soda instead of baking powder. WHOOPS! My cake was no longer a cake, it was a blueberry mush pie.

Luckily, I was smart enough to buy a boxed cake and make that. I am glad I have a good sense of humor because if I did not, I would of been in my kitchen crying over this mess.

I have learned that from now on, I will only make boxed cakes. If it doesn't have a maximum of 4 ingredients, I am not making it! I have learned my lesson when trying to become Betty Crocker.

Goals

So I have been working out for a few months now and I have lost 11 pounds so far. I know that's not a ton but when you are trying to lose, every pound matters. I am not letting it define who I am but I do love seeing that number get smaller every time I step on the scale. I haven't noticed my weight loss so much in my clothes yet. I am hoping that happens after I lose a few more pounds.

My Starting Weight was
193

My current weight is
 182

My next goal weight to get to is
165

Once I get to 165 I want to evaluate how I look and feel and see if I want to keep losing or toning. I do not plan on getting rid of my gym membership at all.  I am also looking forward to when my muscles actually show up and are not just flab!

I am starting to feel better as well. I do not get winded as easily. I am able to do more at the gym. I finally got my mile time down to 11.36 minutes. I have never had that good of a time. I am hoping to have it under 10 by the time I run Rugged Maniac in May.

Losing weight feels amazing and it is great to be finding myself again!

Blog Post: Over the Apple Tree Hi everyone! This is Tiffany this week. I had to choose this post because it is chock-full of good information for those of us with kiddos, but honestly I even think some of these hacks would apply to all of us! Toothbrush to get permanent marker off hard wood floors? Why did I never get the memo? I need to refer to this list in the future for all our messes. I have had some precarious scenarios happen. Nail polish has gotten on our walls and floor, permanent marker on a table, and some other doosies. Check out the blog Over the Apple Tree by Laura. She is also extremely crafty, and has some amazing patterns for crochet. I love her Disney Princess Anna Hat! It is so cute. Go follow her and check her out!

Back At The Gym

Ok..I finally did it. I joined the gym again. I have been debating for awhile to join a gym. I used to go 4-5 nights a week and workout at Golds Gym and then Anytime Fitness. I wanted to join a gym that was close to my house but Anytime Fitness, your crazy if you think I want to pay all that money at the start. Lucky for me, there is a small private gym near my house that only charges $20 a month with no contracts! I can't pass it up. It isn't anything fancy and is more like a serious, weight lifters dream but I love it.

I went last night for the first time in 6 years. 6YEARS!! That is a long time. Normally  I run on my treadmill at home or do a workout dvd like Zumba or something. It was starting to get old and I felt like I was not getting the most of my workout that I could. Last night, I did the treadmill for a mile and the rest of the time I did weights. I feel a little sore today but it is a good sore. It felt amazing to be able to go in the gym, feel confident and not worry about others. Before, I thought everyone was staring at me and judging me while I worked out. Now, I could care less.
The big thing I have to do now though, is figure out how some of the machines work. There was a ton that I had no idea what or how to do them. I typically just watch others and hope I can copy what they are doing. The only problem with this is that sometimes they do them wrong, so you gotta make sure you are watching the right people!

I am really hoping to stay focused and workout at least 4 nights a week! Fingers crossed!

Why I Am Ready for Spring

In Virginia, spring is trying to decide whether or not it wants to show up. One day it is 70 degrees and sunny out. The next day it is 30 degrees. That is the worst part about March in Virginia. You never know what weather you are going to get. I am so ready for spring though. I have an entire list of things I want to do and I can't do them until spring arrives.

1. Plant in my garden. I have a medium sized flower bed at my house and I want to make a few new ones this year. We built the house 5 years ago and we are finally getting some landscape stuff done.

2. Run outside. I love/hate running but when I am outside and able to run, it is not as bad.

3. Have cookouts. I love corn hole and cookouts in the summer. There is literally nothing better.

4. The beach. With spring comes vacation and in less than 2 months I will be on the beach sipping a drink. I can not wait for my toes in the sand.

5. Bonfires. I hate bonfires in the winter but love them in spring and summer. Plus, you can roast marshmallows and make smores!

6. 5ks. I run a ton of races every year and they are the best in the spring!

What are some things you are looking forward to?

TTC Update #9

I had to come post about our TTC journey today. It will be 2 years this August that we have tried to have a child. I have had so much blood work done and test ran on me, that I am getting TIRED of it. I have done 3 rounds of Clomid, each time the Clomid increases 50mg. I just finished 150mg round a few weeks ago. I had some blood work done yesterday and finally got my results.

I AM FINALLY OVULATING.

After months and months of trying to get my system in line, I am ovulating. I will continue on the 150mg of Clomid for 6 cycles. After that, we will have to get Chris tested if I do not get pregnant. I have PCOS and that makes this that much harder. I am really hoping that my system is getting back in line and figuring its shit out.

I am asking everyone to pray for us. We want this more than anything and the fact that I am getting closer to possibly getting pregnant, mean so much to me. I do not want to get my hopes up but I pray this happens soon. The journey has been long and stressful and I am finding it hard to be happy for others that are going through what I want to go through.

Happy Birthday to Me

Today I turn 29. I am have been dreading this day for awhile. After about 25, birthdays are not as fun as they used to be. This is my last year in my 20's. I want to make the most out of this year and have as much fun as I possibly can and experience new things. Every one says that 30 is fine but I would be happy and content to stay at 29.

So, here to today and me turning 29 years old! I hope this last year in my 20's is as amazing as the rest of them have been!

Hairspiration

Over the past year I have been growing out my hair. It has come a long way and I have learned to finally curl my hair. I am at the time where I need to decide what to do with it next. I still want to grow it out longer. I want another 5 inches on it and I will be happy with it. The problem I face now is the color. I color my hair a lot but never go fully blonde. I want to be BLONDE. Now I color my hair at home but I do not want to jack my head up.

Below is my hair over the years. I had long blond hair and chopped it off and went dark. I ended up getting thick bangs and now I have grown them out. Now I am slowly going back to blonde.

Now..I need your help. What color should I do? Should I go brown again or blonde? Let me know below!

Bow Wow Walk + a favor

I am participating in the Bow Wow walk again this year. The Bow Wow Walk is a event to raise money for the SPCA that is here. You get to bring your pup and have a fun day with events and a good distanced walk. Last year I set a goal of raising $250.00 and I met that goal. This year I am trying to do the same thing.

Last year I took Itsy Bitsy and I had a blast. The team I was on, Natural Pet Essentials, raised the most money and that makes me proud to say I was a part of that. I am asking everyone to please donate. It can be $5.00 to whatever amount you would like to give. All donations matter and count! Please take a few moments and go to my page and donate. If it ask for a name of the particpatant you want to sponsor, look for me..Rachel Silski! Click here!

Classic-Margarita-On-The-Rocks
Photo Credit Blog Post: Classic Margarita on the Rocks! Hi! This is Chelsee this week! Thanks to everyone for linking up so many amazing posts this week! When reading all the posts last week I was continuously impressed with all of your posts. I came across one that really stood out mainly due to the picture. Now this may have been that the picture included a lime and tequila, but then again who doesn't love a great drink recipe? I personally did not know how to make a classic margarita until reading the Bad Domestic Goddess's post. Sure I had thought about it, but never tried to make one for myself. I travel all the time and have tried many different margaritas. They seem to be the perfect summertime drink. For those that love these but don't know how to make them, this is for you. This post if full of details on how to make this fabulous drink. If you are interested in learning how to make a classic margarita then I suggest you check this post out!
