5 Steps to Get Healthy

Getting healthy has been one of the biggest struggles for me. I am working on a healthier me and so far, it is going good. I am in no way an expert or know everything there is to know about getting healthy. I just know what I have done and how it is working for me. 

1.  Eat healthier. I know this seems obvious but most people do not realize how bad they really eat. It adds up over time and that is one of the biggest reasons people struggle to lose weight. I do not eat out anymore and I am limiting my unhealthy snacks. I am trying to make sure everything I put in my body, is good for me.

2. Workout. I know most people hate working out and I am among them but it helps. When eating right combined with working out, the weight just goes away. I workout 5 days a week for at least a hour a day.

3.Be more active. If you do not want to workout, just be more active. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk to the office instead of riding the bus, get up every hour and walk around for 10 minutes. 

4. Get others involved. It is hard to lose weight when you are the only one trying to do it. At work and at home, work on getting others on their way to a healthier lifestyle. At my work, we have a walking group for 30 minutes during lunch.

5. Don't deprive yourself. When I want something bad for me, I let myself have it. I find that if I deprive myself, I will binge eat and that is just as bad. I prefer to have a smaller portion of something than binge eating later on. 

These tips have helped me lose a good bit already and will help me lose even more. Let me know some tips you have to get healthy!
