Back At The Gym

Ok..I finally did it. I joined the gym again. I have been debating for awhile to join a gym. I used to go 4-5 nights a week and workout at Golds Gym and then Anytime Fitness. I wanted to join a gym that was close to my house but Anytime Fitness, your crazy if you think I want to pay all that money at the start. Lucky for me, there is a small private gym near my house that only charges $20 a month with no contracts! I can't pass it up. It isn't anything fancy and is more like a serious, weight lifters dream but I love it.

I went last night for the first time in 6 years. 6YEARS!! That is a long time. Normally  I run on my treadmill at home or do a workout dvd like Zumba or something. It was starting to get old and I felt like I was not getting the most of my workout that I could. Last night, I did the treadmill for a mile and the rest of the time I did weights. I feel a little sore today but it is a good sore. It felt amazing to be able to go in the gym, feel confident and not worry about others. Before, I thought everyone was staring at me and judging me while I worked out. Now, I could care less. 
The big thing I have to do now though, is figure out how some of the machines work. There was a ton that I had no idea what or how to do them. I typically just watch others and hope I can copy what they are doing. The only problem with this is that sometimes they do them wrong, so you gotta make sure you are watching the right people! 
I am really hoping to stay focused and workout at least 4 nights a week! Fingers crossed!
