Thanksgiving Recap

Where did the weekend go? It flew by. I was off work for 5 days and I feel like it just ran right by me! I wish it would come back, but I can not make that happen. I did however, enjoy my days off and did a ton of stuff. I baked..a lot. We made more Christmas cookies and attempted to make a pumpkin roll that fell apart so we ended up making mini pumpkin rolls.
I spent most of Thanksgiving with my in-laws. We deep fry a turkey every year we are home. It is the best, taste the best and is amazing. I never actually deep fry it my self. I am scared I will burn the house down. I leave the burning of the turkey to Chris.

I did some online black Friday shopping. I got some good deals and was shocked at the amount of gifts I was actually able to purchase. I am hoping that everyone likes the gifts I got them. I always try to put effort, thought and love into each gift I give.

I know the holidays are not about giving gifts or receiving gifts. For me, the holidays are about spending that precious time with family and the ones who love you. I know who, in my life, truly loves me and I plan to spend the time I have with them. I had a good Thanksgiving and I am blessed to have all that I do.

Pinch Me!

* All opinions are 100% my own. I was compensated with a box for review.*
Have you heard of ? If not, you need to. Pinchme is a site that sends sample boxes to you. All you do is sign up for an account and then on Tuesday, December 15trh at 12PM EST you get to fill a box with samples that you would like! Why would you not want to do this??
At first glance I was super impressed. The box was massive and they sent so many products to many. It was so hard to not keep every item for myself but I also let my sister enjoy some of its goodies.
This is the November Pinchme box that I received. It had A TON of stuff in it. My favorite by far was the Skinny Pop and the nail polish. I had never gotten to try Skinny Pop before but now I am hooked.  The best part of this box and Pinchme? It is 100% free!
I think the biggest thing that I like about Pinchme is that you get a variety of items. There was so much in my November box. I had women's feminine products, a few fun things for little kids like bubble bath, and even yummy snacks.
Make sure you check back for the December box and go sign up! Don't forget it is free and you get to try some awesome products. Click here to get started!

With Thanksgiving here, I want to share what I am thankful for. I have had a couple rough years and through it all, I try to remain and stay positive. I don't want to focus on the sad times, but to rejoice in the happy times.

I am thankful for... husband. Without him, my life would not be complete. He really makes me a better person. He is the love of my life. family. We do not always get along and sometimes I want to ignore them for days but they are family no matter what. job. I am very blessed to have the job I do. Without it, I would still be working in a dead-end job. I make decent money and I actually do not mind coming to work every day. friends. I mean, they put up with all of my stuff and do not have to. Who else loves you more than that? I have some amazing friends and would not have it any other way. freedom. After everything I have seen in the news, we are truly lucky to live where we do and live the way we do. We take it for granted way to much. life. I am alive, happy, and mostly healthy. I love my life and I am thankful and grateful every day for what I have.

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving. Eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie!!

Weekend Recap

I hate how fast the weekend goes by. I feel like I never have time to get everything done that I want to get done. I have yet to get the Christmas tree up. I am begging my husband every day to get that done. I did spend the entire weekend with my niece. I got her from her gymnastics class on Friday. She is getting really good and I am proud of her.
I get bored during her gymnastics class normally. It is for 3 hours!! That is a long time for me to sit there. Normally it ends up with me taking a ton of selfies. She has these fake glasses and decided they looked pretty good on me.

We went shopping on Saturday and of course I had to get some new clothes from Maurice's. That store gets me every time. It is my weakness. I also finally ordered a dress for my work Christmas party. It is semi-formal I believe so I am excited to have a reason to dress up. I can not wait for it to come in and make sure ti fits! Now to find shoes, cardigan and some jewelry to match it!

We also made a gingerbread house. I know it is early for Christmas but hey! She had fun decorating it and it got the husband involved too. She did most of it herself. We only helped her with the walls, or I should say Chris helped with the walls. I just took a ton of photos of them making the gingerbread house.

My weekend was a great weekend. I am sad it is gone but I am happy to be off most of this week. I will try to keep up with the blog while I am off work!

TTC Update #7

Time for another TTC update! I know I just did one not to long ago, but I went to the doctor and I felt like I needed to share what went on and what will be happening.
I went to the doctor on Tuesday. I was super nervous and worried. I was trying to lose some weight before I went back. I knew if I hadn't, I was going to get fussed at. Luckily, I was down a few pounds. That made me so excited and happy. I got this and I can do it! My doctor was very happy about the weight loss and said I need to lose about 10 more and I should be good to go. She did put me on Clomid. I can not start it until I get a cycle again but fingers crossed it comes. I am also ovulating..I think. I am not going to stress over anything. It will happen if it is meant to be.

I can only have hope. My game plan is to keep working, eating well and maintaining a happy life. Trying to get pregnant has been the most emotional roller coaster of my life. I know my day will come but until then, I need to think positive. I am no longer getting upset at others good news when they are pregnant. I have to remind my self that they could have the same journey I am on, I do not know their story and how long it took them. Everyone is different and everything happens when it does, when it should.

I am going to remain positive and happy. I will not let this make me sad.

NUME Hair Wand Review

*This post is NOT sponsored by Nume, all opinions expressed are 100% my own. I have not been paid for this post.*
I have to brag. A few weeks ago I ordered me the Nume Classic Curling Wand 25 MM. They had a huge sale on them and I scored mine for $24.00. I had been eyeing these for such a long time and when I saw the sale, I could not pass it up. I told my husband it was an early Christmas present. I received it yesterday in the mail and there was no way I was going to wait until Christmas to play with it.
I was so impressed with the packaging to start with. It is packaged in the cutest container and then to top it off, it has a cute travel bag with it.
I was nervous to try it out as normally, when I curl my hair, I look like Shirley Temple. Not this time. I have been wanting waves some kinda fierce and I got them with this wand. It only took me about 10 minutes to curl my hair and I was so impressed by the outcome. Chris never likes when I curl my hair but actually loved it last night.
I took the time out today and actually curled my hair for work. I never do this..ever. I NEVER EVER CURL MY HAIR and I am so happy with how it turned out. The back is so pretty. I did bring the wand to work today but I am hoping it does not fall and stays cute all day long.
I will say, if you can get this curling wand on a good deal, snatch one up. It is worth every penny. I will no longer be wasting time on cheap curling wands because they do not help my hair. I no longer have to straighten it everyday. I am very impressed and I love this curling wand. If you want your own, click here!

Weekend Recap

The weekend is gone...again. I miss it already. I was super lazy this past weekend. I feel like I did get some things done but not as much as I would had like to. Can I have the weekend back and do it over?

I did run on the treadmill over the weekend. I was not totally lazy. I did 2 miles last night and I was a stinky sweaty mess but it felt amazing to run that again. I am working back up to running 3 miles straight. Hopefully that will happen soon. I did see a 3lb weight loss. I was 186 on Friday and 183 today. That made me feel great and I know I am heading in the right direction.
I cleaned the house on Saturday morning. It felt great to vacuum and make the house it self smell amazing. I love my home and we have worked hard for it. I love being able to show it off and be proud of my home. I will never let it get nasty or messy. I think it really shows something about you if you keep a clean home. Or I am just OCD about it.
We did have dinner with Chris' mom on Saturday. She surprised us with Christmas cookies. She has the best cookie recipe and icing recipe that is super easy and super yummy. I will be making my own cookies soon and will be sharing it on the blog!
I go to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully will be started on Clomid. Fingers crossed that it will work for me! I will be posting a new TTC update very soon!
I hope everyone has a good week!

Operation Shrink A Booty

I fell off the exercise train. I was doing really well too. Back in the spring I was doing so well. I had lost 10lbs, I was eating good and I was seeing progress. I was on a bit of a roller coaster over the summer with my weight. I have gained 30 lbs in 3 years. My doctor likes to remind me about that fact every time I see her. I know I am the only one responsible for my weight and what I shove in my mouth. No one else can be held responsible for that.

Last night, I was sitting on the couch and was like "why am I sitting here?" I got up and went and ran 25 minutes on the treadmill. It about killed me but you know what, if I don't do it, I won't lose the weight. I won't fit in my clothes and PCOS will win. I refuse to let it win. I will win. I have noticed some of my clothes don't fit like they used to and some, I can't even get in. I can not expect results if I am not trying.
I sweated my butt off last night. It was a good workout and I am glad I went upstairs and ran. I can't even believe I am posting the below picture but I am. I want to see results and posting this, I hope will get me get my results. I am very careful with pictures I put online. If they are angled a way I don't like, you won't see it. This shows my stomach. Since developing PCOS I have gained a ton of weight. I need to lose to help increase my fertility chances.
I hope I stick with this and do not give up. I plan on running again tonight and the night after that and the night after that. I will have bad days, I will have good days but I will lose the weight and I will win!

Oreo Marshmallow Bars! (recipe)

Y'all I have found the easiest, lazy girl recipe on the planet. This recipe just called my name when I saw it. If you have been online within the last few months, you have seen this recipe as well. It is super easy and I had to share it because, why not! It takes 15 minutes at the most, 3 ingredients and a ready belly to eat!
Oreo Marshmallow Bars
1 pkg Oreo's (crushed)
4 tablespoons butter
1 pkg Jet Puffed Marshmallows (or 5 cups)
First, you crush your Oreo's with a food processor. I used my Magic Bullet.

Second, melt the butter and marshmallows on low heat the in the microwave. I let them get bubbly looking and stopped after that.

Then, mix it all together!!

Press the mixture onto parchment paper or foil. (I suggest parchment paper).

Slice into yummy bars and enjoy!

Irresistible Me Hair Extensions (review)

*This post is sponsored by Irresistible Me, however all opinions expressed are 100% my own.*

I am in love with long hair. If you know anything about me, you know I am growing my hair out. It takes forever to get long hair and when you go in for a trim, typically, they cut to much off of it. Typically I am crying before I leave the salon because I do not want short hair anymore. Thankfully, hair extensions were invented many years ago and can save the day.

I was contacted by Irresistible Me to do a review and for someone who is trying to grow out their hair, I am glad they contacted me. They have a variety of different hair extensions and I eager and nervous to try them out. I choose the 200 weight, 18 inches long with the Ash Blonde color to fit my hair. Now, if you are like me, you are unsure of what color you should choose. Luckily, Irresistible Me has an awesome video to help you with it.

The extensions I received are clip in extensions. They are super easy to use. They come in a variety of sets which is good for me. I use the biggest for the back and the smallest for the sides. Since these are made with 100% human hair you can treat them like your own hair.  You can style, cut, color and curl them up like your normal hair. I felt like they looked very natural on me and you could not tell I was wearing them.  In fact, I preferred them over my real hair as they looked amazing.

Though the Royal Remy is a bit more expensive, they tend to last a lot longer with your normal wear and tear. You can choose weight, color, and length. They also  offer 200g (10 pieces), 140g (8 pieces) and 100g (7 pieces) sets! Now I have the 10 piece/200g weight. Just because I have 10 pieces, does not mean I need to use all 10 of them. It gives you a nice variety of lengths and thickness you can pick from.
These hair extensions are made with 100% human Remy hair. They are a fantastic quality for a friendly price and can be easily styled. The Silky Touch extensions are perfect for anybody who loves adding some volume or length to their hair. For me, I loved both parts as I have thin medium length hair. I got the volume I always wanted and the length that I love. These are also great for anyone who is just starting out using extensions.
I really do love these Irresistible Me Hair Extensions. For someone who struggles with their hair,I found these to be super easy to put in, fun to style and fun to wear. I would suggest any girl that wants thicker and longer hair, to get these. They are worth every penny you spend on them!

Holiday Pinterest Inspiration

The holidays have crept up so quick this year. I am not ready in the least bit but luckily, the world gave us Pinterest so it can help me get in the Holiday spirit and get ready for it. I am hoping to do more DIY decorations this year. I hate buying Christmas decorations because they are very over priced. If I can make it myself, than I am a happy camper!
