Weekend Recap

The weekend flew by way way to fast! I had an amazing weekend. My husband turned 32 on Saturday. Normally we are on vacation on his birthday. This was the first time we had been home in 6 years on his birthday. Naturally I knew we had to celebrate it in a big way. I decided to throw him a surprise party, which he ruined and found out about before hand so it ended up just being a big birthday party.

Friday I felt like I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I had to buy all of the food, make a good bit of it before Saturday came, make sure the house was somewhat presentable and make sure I had booze! See my priorities here?

I cooked so much food, much a ton of stuff including some amazing Jello Shots! Who does not love a good jello shot? I mean come on people. They went so fast that I oblivious should of made more. We had corn hole, volleyball, music and a bon fire. One of the best perks about living in the middle of no where, I can do what I want and not worry about being to loud, making the neighbors mad, or anything like that.

Sunday was such a lazy day. I cleaned up from the party and I had big dreams of cleaning the house. I got maybe 5 things out of 20 done. There was no motivation yesterday. No up and get 'um attitude. It was crap, we partied to hard now we need to relax. So we laid around yesterday watching a Lord of The Rings marathon on tv. I did catch my pretty pup lounging out in the sun yesterday and I had to share this picture of her. She is so pretty!

Well lets all get through the week and be ready for a 3 day weekend!

TTC Struggles

Lately it seems that everyone, their cousins and their best friends are pregnant. I am not sure if it has always been like this or if I just am noticing it more now that I am actually trying. My biggest problem is trying to be happy for others. I am glad and honestly happy that others are able to get pregnant but it is so hard to try and be there for that person when you, yourself are not able to be in the same position yet.

I know it may seem selfish of me, but it is how I honestly feel. We have been trying for over a year and it is the most depressing thing as month after month go by. I am trying to be positive, but damn it, it sucks. I love all of my friends and family, I want to be able to be there for them. But at this point, I am not able to. I don't think I could even go to someone elses baby shower right now. I hate that. I hate feeling like this but honestly I am envious of them and I don't need to be there, dragging down the mood.

One of the big parts that sucks is when someone will ask you why you do not have kids, are you planning on having kids, and what are you waiting for. Well folks..my lady bits have decided to not work so that could be why. Or I just want to be a crazy dog lady the rest of my life but hey! So if you are one of those people that ask married couples when they are going to have kids, take my advice and do not ask that question. You do not know why someone has not had kids yet nor do you need to know.

I know it seems like I am being a butt today but I am just in one of those moods. I am not sure if it is the metformin, if my cycle is trying to show back up, or if I am just in a nasty mood. I hope this doesn't last all day!

TTC Update #5

I wanted to give a update on our TTC (Trying To Conceive) story. I had lab work done last month and got the results. I was officially diagnosed with PCOS. In the last year, since stopping birth control, I gained 30 pounds, have had horrible acne randomly, and my period decided to run away and never come back again. I have taken provera to try and make it stay, it has other plans.

Today I went and met with my doctor and we discussed fertility treatments and options. I had 2 options, Clomid or Metformin. I am on metformin for now. My levels that were elevated during my lab work was the testosterone and progesterone. This will help my levels. I have also been struggling to lose weight. I work out, I eat healthy but I still gain. My doctor informed me that, pcos, does that. So hopefully this medicine will get my system in line and I can lose weight and get pregnant. I hope everything returns to how it should be.

I have read so many success stories about metformin. I really hope in a few months time, I will be giving one of those stories as well. Also, if you have PCOS or had it, and took this medicine, let me know what you thought about, how it worked for you. I would love to know!!

Fingers crossed it works!

Why I Chose Weight Watchers

I started weight watchers last week. I used to say I would never join something like Weight Watchers, but I finally did it. One of my best friends uses it and has done well with it. I thought, why not give it a go! I am glad I did. Here is how it works: I signed up for just the online version. I am not going to classes. I only pay $19.95 a month. If I cut out the bad food and coffee I have, I am still saving money. Weight Watchers gives you points. You get so many points a day that you can use and so many weekly points in case you want a cheat day. So far, I have only used 2 weekly points. Most fruit and vegetables are zero points! Win win there!

In 1 week I have changed my eating habits so much. I am eating so many more fruit and vegetables and so much more often than I used to eat them. I am walking more than I used. I take the stairs at work, no elevator for me. I also don't ride the bus to work anymore from the garage. I walk. I am hoping if I stick to this plan, I will see some weight loss and be able to help my PCOS at the same time.

I will say I was shocked at how bad some things were. I have 28 points a day I can. When I looked up a wrap with cheese, lettuce and lunch meat, it took a good bit away. I was very surprised at how bad it really was for you. PSL...that is not happening this year. They take about 8 points away and no coffee is worth that. I try to save my points for the end of the day for dinner!

I hope to stick with this and to have an amazing success story from it. I can only go up from here and with making lifestyle changes, I will succeeded. Is anyone else on Weight Watchers? If so, let me know how you like it!

Also this is not a sponsored post. Just my own thoughts and opinions!

Let's Be Friend's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Let's Be Friends Blog Hop!

Join us every Tuesday at 7am (MST). This blog hop focuses on content. LINK UP YOUR FAVORITE POST from last week in this fun content-sharing blog hop! I love the idea of blog hopping, but I love the idea of reading posts and quality content on new blogs I've never been to even more. All hosts and co-hosts put up some unique and fun content from the past week. Make sure to check them out. P.S.- you may still link up your blog button and blog name, but it is encouraged to link up your favorite post instead. You will get more page views and interest if you do so! You never know who will become a loyal follower or pin that delicious new recipe you posted!

The BEST part of this blog hop? Each week there will be a WINNER! That's right, each week we will choose one lucky blog to feature from the previous week's hop. Breakfast Sushi | It's me Deb! Hello everyone! It's Chelsee this week! This week's winner had something so yummy and unique that I had to share it with all of you. I personally have never thought of having sushi for breakfast, but I do enjoy some for dinner. When I saw Deb had made this yummy sushi that used Johnsonville sausage I immediately printed it so that I can try making it. I am not big on breakfast, but this intrigued me enough to want to try it some time. I think this is a great spin on sushi and a easy way to get kids and adults to eat breakfast.
Go check out Deb's blog and post! :)

TTC Update #4

I promised a TTC update after my testing and after I got some results. I was not ready to post right when I got the results and felt I should wait, let me understand what is going on and go from there. I had a TON of lab work done a few weeks ago. About 5 days after, I was told my diagnosis. I have a slightly elevated testosterone level. Per my doctor I have a condition know as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Approximately 10% of women reportedly have this condition. Because PCOS is related to insulin resistance (which was not surprising due to my family history of diabetes).

I go back at the end of the month to discuss treatment options and where I want to go from here with it. I know a big one is weight management so I have gotten back into eating healthier and working out more. The only good thing out of this, is the stress is gone now that I do have a diagnosis. I am going to remain hopeful and positive and pray that we can still get pregnant and be blessed with a child.

I will say I do still have sad times. It is hard to watch TV sometimes. Only when I watch something with small kids or babies does it bother me. I will admit that I was watching The Bates family last night on UP and I cried when one of them had a baby. It is hard but I have to stay positive and hopeful that it will happen.

I will do another update after my next doctor appointment, when we discuss treatment options and where to go from here.

Collecting Moments Why Parents should take a break from Technology I needed to read this post by Maria from Collecting Moments. I am often guilty of having my phone out too much... taking too many pictures, or simply being distracted by social media. I absolutely love her perspective on using technology wisely and in moderation. I LOVE her blog, and am super happy I had the opportunity to read it this week. Please make sure to go check her out and follow her blog! I do not have her photo to share, so please go check out her post and read it- it is well worth 5-10 minutes to read!

Pretty Little Liars-Finale

If you were online at all last night, you will know who A is. If you do not want to know, stop reading now! I am warning you!

Last night I was excited and hyped up for the summer finale of Pretty Little Liars. Did I expect A to be who A is? Nope. I swore it was Wren or Lucas or maybe even Caleb. I did not expect it to be Cece. Cece freaking Drake.

She was Charles but then her mom had a fake funeral for her and then she became Charlotte? So she is transgender but also a psycho serial killer who loves kidnapping her family and sisters friends while also dating her brother? Creepy much???

I feel like the finale answered stuff but also left so much unanswered questions. Are the wine moms still in the basement? Are Mr. D and Jason dead? Why was Sarah in the hospital in the end..Emily only punched her. What happened to Mona?? How did Mona not know it was Ali?? If Cece/A/Charlotte wanted to be close to family, why torture them...just be their friend.  Who killed Mrs. D? My biggest one is how is Cece A/Charlotte, living in Radley, fake attending school where she was prom queen, dating her brother and spending all summer with Ali and Jason but yet she is only allowed out for day visits? See...these are just a few out of a ton of questions I currently have.

I do have to admit I was let down when I saw it was Cece. It just seems to fake and like they pulled this out of a hat to fit with the media and what is going on with the world today. It has been 5 years and this is what we get in the end. I don't understand it and I am not sure how the next season will be. The ending was odd and apparently  these girls will deal with this stuff for the rest of their life. A doesn't play around. When A stalks, A stalks for life.

I could rant for hours but I won't and there are so many plot holes and things that do not add up. My tv is lucky to still work today after I wanted to punch it last night. Anyone else disappointed in the finale or happy with it?

Weekend Recap

This past weekend flew by and I am utterly exhausted. I hate how fast the weekend goes. Why can we not only work 2 days and have 5 days off? Seems fair to me! My weekend was jammed packed so lets start at the top!!

On Saturday I had my sister and her family over. They just moved back to the area so it is nice to see them on a more regular basis. I helped my sister apply for jobs, we cooked out and played cornhole and badmitton. My husband is a mechanic/country boy and he decided we needed a actual badminton court so he busted out some spray paint and went to town. I was so exhausted Saturday night and crashed after they went home.

Sunday my other niece came over. She is my world and I love spending every minute with her. She has been thru so much so it is nice to see a big smile on her face. She came over and I had a Darby Smart bracelet kit. We made bracelets and I am shocked at how well they actually turned out. My husband may have done most of the work but hey they still looks amazing!

I started a new job Monday so excuse my abesnce from the blog. I went back to my old department at my job and I am loving it! Who knew how much an office with a door and window could make you happy?? I don't plan to leave here anytime soon!

I hope everyone has a great week!

Endofmonth
Hi friends, It's Chelsee this week! Two weeks in a row, yes indeed! I am going to be on vacation for some of next week and Tiffany switched off with me. Last week I was reading through all the blog posts that were linked up when one truly resonated with me. You see Bloggers all face the struggle of scheduling and writing posts in our very hectic lives. No I am not a mom, but I do work two jobs and go to school. This is the main reason why something I don't blog 5 times a week and face the basic struggle of finding time to write posts. I truly believe that Editorial Calendars can work for all of us and feel it is crucial to write down post details and ideas to keep from forgetting them. What I love about Nikki's post is that she explains why Editorial Calendars can work and how they work for her. I knew time I read this post that I had to share it with all of you.
Go check out Nikki 's blog and post! :)
Keep posting awesome content! You make it so fun for us to read all your posts! If you can, please link up a specific post. It makes it easier for us to come and visit!
