Unilever Dry Spray Voxbox

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

One..Influenster is amazing. They sent me the Unilever Dry Spray Voxbox and it has been one of my favorite boxes to date! I am really into running and working out and for someone on the go, I can just spray a little on and be good for the entire day. It is so convenient and I can just throw it in my gym bag and not have to worry about it getting messy or gross like regular deodorant.

For a runner..this is definitely an essential item. It won't melt in the heat, it will last more than day but if you are running, I suggest you re apply afterwards..we all know we stink after a good run or workout.

They also have many different scents and sprays. They make them for men and woman and personally I love this more than a gel or stick deoardant! It leaves me feeling refreshed and I don't have to worry about making a mess on my clothes when wearing it like other ones do!

Have you tried this yet? Do you like it?

Home Ideas-Pinterest Edition

So I am at the point of just skipping winter, and going straight to spring. I mean is to cold, wet, and dreary to enjoy winter at all. It only snows a tin bit and then leaves mud and a mess everywhere. Since I am working on getting fit and losing some pounds I want to get ready to do a ton of work outside our house.

We built out house about 5 years ago and the outside is sad. We have one flower bed that only has 3 plants in it and my husband did all that. I have so many ideas and if it wasn't for pinterest I would not have those. I also want to build a outdoor fire pit and get some nice Adirondack chairs to put with them!

Work It Out!

Last night was a good night for me. I got in a mile on the treadmill, I was WAY under my calorie count and I felt great. I am loving having the treadmill at home and I can not wait for spring to participate in as many runs as possible.

I did break my own rule this morning though. I weighed myself. I said I was not going to do it but I did. I couldn't help my self. The scale was there, I was there, I mean why not! I have lost 2 more pounds and that makes my total 8 pounds. I am 176 and my goal is 160. I am pretty sure after I hit it I will try to get 145. I don't want to be any smaller than that.

Having this just upstairs in my house is amazing. I love how I just can go up there and run my butt off. The minute I get home I throw on some running gear, do whatever I need to around the house and then go upstairs. There is no excuses or reasons why I can't do this!

I have already signed up for 2 more runs this spring and I am always looking for more. If you are in the Virginia area and want to do a fun run with me, just shoot me an e-mail!!

Weight Update

So I am refusing to get on the scale right now. I am waiting to see a change in my clothes before I go near the beast again. My scale scares me and I we do not get along. I do not want to make friends with it just yet, so I am taking a break from up.

I finally got my treadmill and I have been on it every day since! It is a major thing for me and I am super excited to lose weight. My biggest goal besides losing weight is I want to work on my run time. In a typical 5k I am between 43-45 minutes. I want to shave at least 10 minutes off of that and I hope I can do that with the treadmill. Once spring comes in, I will be running outside again but for now it is netflix watching while running. I find that running and watching netflix, my run goes so much faster!

I am still counting all my calories with myfitnesspal and this is one of the best apps I have ever downloaded. It sinks up with my Up by Jawbone app and I am finding these 2 be my new favorite apps on my phone. I am also loving my jawbone. I love how you can wear it almost all the time and it tracks your counts. I am almost always right at or right below my counts for the day so I have to get better with that and get up and move around some more!

What are you doing different to lose weight or make a change!

Playing Catch Up

So I have not blogged since last week and it was nice to take a few days off from the blog. It helps refresh me and I don't feel like I have to post every single day. My weekend was jammed packed with fun and not so fun stuff.

On Saturday I went to WV to pick up a treadmill from one of my best friends. She is pretty amazing and who gives someone a free treadmill? I was so excited that she did and it meant I got to see her. I have not seen her in awhile and it is amazing to spend even a tiny bit of time with her. We are both dieting together and without her I could not get through it!

We had to rush back home Saturday so I could go to a concert. I saw Florida Georgia Line, Frankie Ballard and Thomas Rhett on Saturday night. I had some of the best seats there. We were in one of the suites and let me tell you..that is the way to see a concert. My friend and I even made the big screen when we were dancing.

Sunday was a lets get the house cleaned up and organized. I am working on making one of our rooms into a home gym and I probably spent 3 hours on pinterest looking for ideas. I don't want anything fancy. Just a tv, yoga mat, some weights and a few decorations. I already have the tv and treadmill, now I just need to get it all organized.

I was off work yesterday and spent it finally taking down my tree. I was so sick of looking at it and I am pretty sure others were as well.
After was lazy day for me! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Concert Time!

Tomorrow night I get to see Florida Georgia Line again here where I live. I saw them last year and was center stage,3rd row. Tomorrow night I have box seats but I would have loved to been in the pit again!!! I tend to go to any country concert that comes here. I am a country music junkie!

So with are my favorite country music artist.

1. Miranda Lambert. She is amazing. When you see her in concert, she just makes you feel so good about yourself. Her music is so crazy, fun, loving and so many other things that I can't help but love her.  She can be classy and turn on the bitch mode as well! If you have not seen her yet, go!

2. Jason Aldean. I saw ole Jason last year with FGL and it was amazing. I know some people don't like him because he left his wife, blah blah. He is a great musician and I could care less who he is married to at the time. That is his business.

3. Luke Bryan. Do I really need to write anything about him? He is hot, hot and did I mention hot? Oh yea..he can sing pretty well to. I have yet to see him in concert but I can not wait to the day that I do.

4. Florida Georgia Line. These boys are amazing. I know some don't like them because they are "bro country" but I love them. They are amazing in concert and I love all of their music. Stop hating on them people.

5. Justin Moore. This little guy is adorable. He is my height, super skinny and a great singer. I saw him a few years ago and was to drunk to realize he walked right past me. #FAIL I can not wait to see him again. He music is catchy and plus..hes cute!

What are you favorite country artist?

Things I Have Learned From Blogging

I started my blog over 2 years ago and way back then I had no idea how much I will and can learn from blogging. I started my blog as just a fun way to post stuff and I didn't really post anything that mattered to me or anyone else. Now I post 4-5 times a week and really love this thing. It has grown into something I would have never guessed could happen.

1. Blogging can be hard.

2. Writers block is real. Happens all the time to me and sometimes it is easier to just skip a day.

3. Skipping a day or two is okay. If you don't have good content or something worth reading, don't post it. Save your mental juices!

4. You will become best friends with some amazing bloggers. They will help you grow and learn.

5. Not all bloggers are nice. Some are mean witches and don't care about "little bloggers".

6. Having a private blog that goes public to your friends and family is one of the scariest things ever.

7. It is okay to post sponsored content if it fits your blog.

8. Always give credit where credit is due.

9. Not everyone will love you. Not everyone is going to be nice. Live with it and move on.

10. As much as you don't want to care about it, your GFC # will matter to you more than you think.

11. Not every post needs a picture.

12. It's a blog. It is meant to have mistakes, fun times and sometimes hard times.

13. Love your blog!

I have learned a lot over the past 2 years and I am sure I am going to learn so much more!

Monday I seriously hate you. Like despise you even. The weekend went by way to fast but I did get a lot done. My house is cleaned except my Christmas tree is still up. That has gotta go this weekend. I am sick of looking at it. On top of it being Monday, we have freezing rain today which resulted in me spinning my car around on the ice. I am fine, the car is fine, it just sucked and was not something I wanted to experience at 7:00 a.m.

Update on the diet: I am sticking with it and doing good. I was 183 about 2 weeks ago and I am at 179. I am loving this clean eating. I am also getting a treadmill Saturday morning and that is just going to help even more with me losing this flab! My one weakness though is booze sometimes and I did have 3 margaritas on Friday. I am going to Florida Georgia Line this Saturday and I have to stay away from beer. That is just wasted calories.

My dog also ate a chapstick tube over the weekend. We only found the we are waiting to see how that turns out. Fingers crossed she can pass it and we don't have to go spend a ton of money at the vet.

I also just booked our 5 year wedding anniversary trip. We live near a ton of beaches and for a short 4 day weekend it is only 3 hours to go to Virginia Beach. We are going there for our anniversary and I am super excited. I go every year but this year we are going for a longer time and it is a special time for us as well!

End of my ramblings! Happy Monday.

My Favorite Shows

I realized lately I have been watching a lot of new shows, whether they are on T.V. or Netflix. It is not that I am sitting around 24/7 but I am just watching more and spending less time playing on the ipad. I gave up one thing for another.

1. Once Upon A Time.

This show is just everything. It has the HOTTTTTTTT Captain Hook as well as other hunks to watch. The plot is pretty darn good if you can get past the "someone is trying to hurt us" every episode stuff. I love the whole story book character theme and I am so ready for it to be back on T.V. Until then though, I can binge watch it on Netflix!

2. Pretty Little Liars.

This just came back on this week. I have not watched this weeks episode but I am very excited to. I know the story line has spiraled out of control but I can't help but love it. It is so good and sometimes creepy! I just want to know who the heck A is already!

3. American Horror Story

Now I am only finished with season 1 and so far I love it. I do know that they change story lines each season so I am not sure if I will like season 2. Chris and myself binged watched this on Netflix so I think we will be doing the same again this weekend.

4. The Following

Can this please come back already! I am missing this show something fierce. I know it is very unrealistic but it is so dramatic and good. I can't help but love it...well maybe not the at least 5 people die a episode part.

What are some of your favorite shows?

Starting Out Right

So yesterday I posted about how I was gonna lose weight and I want to look great! It is not my resolution, just a statement and a fact for me. I started yesterday by eating better and last night got the supplies I need to do this. I spent a good bit on pinterest looking up recipes, ideas and ways to cut my calorie intake but still eat well.

I went to the grocery store last night and got my self a Bento Box. A healthy a box. For me it is a adult lunchable. Now this may not be the correct term but it is the type of meal! I saw this on pinterest and even followed the link to a blog and was so inspired.

If you follow me on pinterest...I am sorry. I did flood feeds yesterday with ideas, recipes and weight loss stuff. I am happy though that I am doing this and I am so excited to see the results and the lbs come right off!

For dinner last night I had a cheese and turkey wrap on a small wrap with mustard. I also had 1 pickle and some chips. I did not go over the suggested servings on the containers and kept it small. I was worried I would not feel full, but I did. I didn't snack after dinner or anything. I just drank a ton of water.

Now for lunch...I am so excited for. I packed it last night and everything is the suggested serving size. I track all of my calorie intake on myfitnesspal so I will post how many calories this is after lunch. I doubt I will eat all of this but we will see.

Lunch-1 pickle spear, a tbsp of nuts, 2 tbsp of hummus, 1 boiled egg, 1/2 cup grapes, 1/2 cup broccoli, Turkey Pepperoni (I don't remember the serving), a handful of carrots and chips and crackers and cheese.

The box really helps with seeing what I am eating instead of eating a huge meal. I bought silicone cupcake liners to separate it all but of course I did not take a picture of that.

If you do this, let me know what your favorite things are to eat with it! Keep in mind..I am allergic to shellfish so I can not have any seafood at all!

Weight..New Year.

With it being 2015 and everyone is making resolutions...I have decided to not make a resolution. I want to lose weight but I am not going to focus on just that. I am not going to restrict myself by making a resolution. With that said...I do plan on losing weight.

Now..for my weight....

180 lbs.

This is the heaviest weight I ever get to. I never let my self get past this weight but losing it is never easy. I have a game plan already in action.

First..I am eating better. I am cutting alot of carbs out of my diet. That is my biggest problem. I am eating more fruits and veggies. I am also planning on doing Bento Lunches. I have seen some good sets, I just have to find one that won't break the bank. If you know of any, let me know!

Second...after I completely switch my eating habits I am getting a treadmill. Lucky for me I am getting one for free from one of my best friends. We are both in the weight loss game together and we can't do it without each other. not give in. I can not give in to food and pressure. I have to stay on this diet. I am not saying I won't go out to eat and stuff anymore but I will be more conscious when I do. I will no longer eat fast food and stuff just because it is there. They are plenty of other healthy options that I can get and some cost alot less!

I will be happy when I get back to my ideal weight!

New Years Recap

I I know New Years was last week but I have yet to blog it so I figured why not. Better late than never. We spent New Years Eve with friends that live right down the road from us. It was a blast and I am so glad to have the friends we have. ALOT of drinking was had and I was sick to my stomach the next day. Every time this happens I say I am going to learn and I never do!
I went and saw Annie with my niece on Friday. The movie was really good but the original is always the best. I will say take your child/niece/nephew to see it. It was a great family movie.
We also went to the Jump Trampoline park where we live. I was a big kid the entire time. I jumped and jumped and even jumped in the foam pit. They do make it look easier to get out of but it swallows you like quick sand. My husband and niece made it look easy but it was not! OR I am just getting super old.

It is now Monday and I am on my 3rd cup of coffee. Thank goodness for coffee. It is amazing and I could not live without it. Hopefully today goes fast as getting up at 6:00 a.m. today was not working well for me. I am already excited to get back to my bed tonight! Happy Monday everyone!

Big & Littles Signup

It is now time to sign up for this round of the
 Bigs & Littles Blogging Network!

What is Bigs & Littles?
This is a partnering of bloggers to teach, to learn and to grow that lasts two months. In the Bigs & Littles Blogging Network big & little bloggers are matched together. Each of us regardless of size or experience has something we can give back to others. Throughout this program you will have the ability to build a new friendship, share experiences, teach, and learn.  We know that sometimes in the beginning days of our blogs we were frustrated, even sometimes now we just need a little blogging advice. We just felt that sometimes we were at a lost, with no one to help us understand  how blogging worked. This is something that we feel never changes, yes our blogs have grown tremendously, but with that comes a whole new set of issues that arise.

Have you ever felt the same? Well we can tell you that sometimes asking another blogger questions and advice can be quite frustrating and intimidating. Well if you are looking for a way to meet someone to share advice and just someone to lean on through your blogging experience, then this may be the perfect program for you.

Want help designing our blog, learning how to grow your blog, or just some general advice then we suggest that you take a moment to contemplate this program!

How it works:
The sign up will run from January 2nd- January 9th! Once the deadline has passed, the process of finding your partner will begin! This process will take about a week, but depending on the number that sign up it could take a bit longer or it could take less time. The partner list should be out by January 14th.  Your Partnership will run for 2 months, at the end of this time you will need to sign up again to receive a new partner.

**New** When will sign ups occur?

Signups will occur 3 times a year in: January, May, and September

Why you should sign up?
The idea behind the Bigs & Littles Blogging Network is for bloggers to teach, learn, and grow from each other. Furthermore, the goal is to become close with one another and support each other, and at the end of it all make new friends. Our vision is not only for the Littles to grow their blogs and learn from their big, but that this process will propel them into becoming a big themselves. Regardless if you are a big or little, there is something that we can all bring to the table to help each other.

We also want to note that we suggest that you not focus on being defined as a big or a little. You fall into one of these categories based on a variety of things. The idea that everyone could be matched with someone as large of a blogger as The Small Things Blog, while it would be amazing it unfortunately is simply impossible at this time. Our point is take this experience and run with it. Remember that what you put into this experience will be what you get out of it. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us here.

Before you sign up please read this recap of the rules:

The Rules:

1. Please follow the hosts: ChelseeDeb, Rachel, Cassie & Christine!
2. If you are unable to continue with your relationship with your partner, please send an email here and I will make make arrangements to reassign you another partner.
3. If for any reason you feel that your partner is not participating, please email us here. Note if you do not email us to let us know then there is nothing we can do to help.
4. Please note that if you sign-up but do not actively participate, then you will be unable to participate in the future (This is only fair to your partner, and not malicious).
5. Write a post and link it up with us on March 1st detailing your Bigs & Littles experience and about your Big or Little(s). This link up will be open for a while, so don't worry if you are not able to linkup on that actual date.
