Starting Out Right

So yesterday I posted about how I was gonna lose weight and I want to look great! It is not my resolution, just a statement and a fact for me. I started yesterday by eating better and last night got the supplies I need to do this. I spent a good bit on pinterest looking up recipes, ideas and ways to cut my calorie intake but still eat well. 

I went to the grocery store last night and got my self a Bento Box. A healthy a box. For me it is a adult lunchable. Now this may not be the correct term but it is the type of meal! I saw this on pinterest and even followed the link to a blog and was so inspired. 

If you follow me on pinterest...I am sorry. I did flood feeds yesterday with ideas, recipes and weight loss stuff. I am happy though that I am doing this and I am so excited to see the results and the lbs come right off! 

For dinner last night I had a cheese and turkey wrap on a small wrap with mustard. I also had 1 pickle and some chips. I did not go over the suggested servings on the containers and kept it small. I was worried I would not feel full, but I did. I didn't snack after dinner or anything. I just drank a ton of water.

Now for lunch...I am so excited for. I packed it last night and everything is the suggested serving size. I track all of my calorie intake on myfitnesspal so I will post how many calories this is after lunch. I doubt I will eat all of this but we will see. 

Lunch-1 pickle spear, a tbsp of nuts, 2 tbsp of hummus, 1 boiled egg, 1/2 cup grapes, 1/2 cup broccoli, Turkey Pepperoni (I don't remember the serving), a handful of carrots and chips and crackers and cheese. 

The box really helps with seeing what I am eating instead of eating a huge meal. I bought silicone cupcake liners to separate it all but of course I did not take a picture of that. 

If you do this, let me know what your favorite things are to eat with it! Keep in mind..I am allergic to shellfish so I can not have any seafood at all!


  1. Yay! Glad to see you are starting things out right. I am cutting down portion sizes and it seems to be helping me. I can't wait to see how much you can accomplish this year, I have all the faith in the world in you.

  2. Yay, good for you! I think it's great that you are setting yourself up for success by being prepared and planning out your meals. That was the hardest part for me, but now that I do it all the time, it's just second nature. You can totally do this, high five!
