Thanksgiving Recap

Thanksgiving is now over and my belly is full..still. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. We stayed home due to weather but I still enjoyed spending time with my in-laws. The road we normally take got shut down due to snow. We luckily had a back up program and still got to have dinner. I did not take any pictures yesterday because well...I wanted to stay off line and not worry about pictures for my blog. Sorry. #Notsorry.

Tomorrow we are putting up the Christmas tree. This is my favorite part of Christmas. It is not the gifts, the shopping, the foot. It is the tree. If I had it my way it would have been up a month ago. I love the lights and having the tree on.

I did not go black friday shopping physically. I did all of mine online. I found great deals for almost all of my gifts. I even got free stuff from groopdealz. Who can beat that??? I got to stay in my p.j.s, my dogs were on my lap and I got to get the same deals as everyone in the stores!!

The only hitch was yesterday after we ate, I went to put a dish in the dishwasher. I did not know that the door was broke and it slammed on my foot. My foot is ok..just bruised and hurts still. I won't post photos because my feet are not what you want to see on here!!

Stay tuned for my Christmas decorations this year!!

Thankful

With Thanksgiving upon us, I have many reasons to give thanks! The past year has been amazing compared to the year before. Life is getting better and pains are not as hard.

Tomorrow we will all sit down and celebrate Thanksgiving. I want to give thanks first and fore most as if it was not for my family, friends, readers, coworkers, and everyone else..I would not be where I am today. I have changed and grown over the past year and without all of them/you it would not have happened.

Over the past year my marriage has gotten stronger, my job has gotten better and life in general is going great. I have an amazing husband who supports all of my crazy ideas and loves me no matter what. I have a great job and I could not ask for anything better. I have a family that loves me and a roof over my head. I could not ask for more! Life is good. I would not change anything about with how it is going. Everything happens for a reason and with all the pain from last year, to be able to smile and be happy and grateful for life is amazing.

Don't forget to give thanks tomorrow. Don't forget everyone who can not be at home with their families. Some people are over seas and some are working tomorrow. If you go into a store and meet someone who isn't in the best mood, remember they are not at home with their family. Give them a smile, buy them some coffee or something!

We are having a snowy Thanksgiving which hindered our travel but I am not letting that get me down. We have a back up plan and will still have an amazing dinner, time with family.

Give thanks tomorrow...be thankful and appreciate life. (Eat lots of food too!)

Let's Be Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Let's Be Friends Blog Hop!

A blog hop is a set time frame for current or aspiring bloggers to find new blogs and quality content. It is a great way to make new friends and find inspiration! It is also a fabulous way to promote your own blog and posts.

Dear Friends,

What a day to celebrate! This is the 93rd week of the Let's Be Friends blog hop! Thanks for joining us on this special day. Chelsee and Tiffany are extremely delighted to see the way this hop has grown and love to see your faces each week!

Join us every Tuesday at 7am (MST). This blog hop focuses on content. LINK UP YOUR FAVORITE POST from last week in this fun content-sharing blog hop! I love the idea of blog hopping, but I love the idea of reading posts and quality content on new blogs I've never been to even more. Instead of simply linking up your blog button, you are now able to link up your favorite post you recently wrote. Have a delicious recipe to share, DIY tutorial, or heartfelt post? Share it with us! All hosts and co-hosts put up some unique and fun content from the past week. Make sure to check them out. P.S.- you may still link up your blog button and blog name, but it is encouraged to link up your favorite post instead. You will get more page views and interest if you do so! Some of the most successful blog hops I have participate in focus on content rather than just exchanging follows. You never know who will become a loyal follower or pin that delicious new recipe you posted!

The BEST part of this blog hop? Each week there will be a WINNER! That's right, each week we will choose one lucky blog to feature from the previous week's hop. This hop receives thousands of page views every week, so your blog will have the chance to be center stage for free. You must follow all the hosts and co-hosts in order to win. Only those who link up a specific post are eligible to be featured! *You must follow all the hosts and co-hosts in order to win.

The last exciting change is that the co-host spots will now be available to all sponsors of  The Dwelling Tree or Southern Beauty Guide. If you are interested in co-hosting the blog hop, email Tiffany or Chelsee about sponsorship opportunities and how to co-host the weekly hop!

There are a couple of great giveaways going on right now at Southern Beauty Guide and The Dwelling Tree. Go check them out! :)

Hi friends! It is Chelsee today. I am happy that things are going so well and this hop is continually successful! I love all the amazing bloggers I meet each week and all the awesome content you post. INSPIRING!

Thank you all once again for continually linking up at our blog hop. It is such a fun time and I am so impressed each week with all the amazing posts. Please continue to link up an actual post instead of your blog. We want to keep reading your content and it makes it more fun to pick a winner!

Is there anything we can do differently or better? Please share in the comments!

... onto the winner!

I seriously love all of your posts! As always you all make this one difficult decision. Recently I have been super obsessed with scarves due to the chilly weather we have been experiencing in the south.

Amanda blogs over at Life With Grace, she blogs about life, fashion, food and more! She’s a wife, mommy, and lover her crazy beagle named Duchess. From what I’ve read so far she is absolutely hilarious and has an amazing blog to read. I adore her sense of style in all over her fashion posts.

When I was scrolling down the linked up posts last week, I came across a picture that caught my eye. It was the prettiest scarf and I knew then I had to find out where to get my own. It turns out this lovely scarf belonged to Amanda and she had put together the cutest fashion look. I love how easy it was to click through her post and be taken to store websites of where to buy items she was wearing. I also love all of her pictures from her little “fashion shoot” for this post.

If you are looking to read a new blog then I highly suggest you head over and check
out her blog!

Enough of that. Go follow her blog. And thank you all again for another amazing week!

Keep posting awesome content! You make it so fun for us to read all your posts! If you can, please link up a specific post. It makes it easier for us to come and visit!

*Remember YOU can be next weeks winner! :)

Influenster Love

I know I am flooding you guys right now but I wanted share with you my love for Influenster.  Have you heard of Influenster?? If not..it is one of my favorite sites ever. It is a site where you can do product reviews and tell people how much you like or dislike a product or company. Personally, I tend to read reviews before I buy something, so this site really helps with it.

Now one of the best parts about Influenster is that every now and then they send you a VoxBox or you get a virtual VoxBox to review! I have gotten both and both are fun. Personally though if you get the real deal VoxBox...it is amazing. I love getting one in the mail and unboxing it! You never know what will be inside it.

Now my most favorite thing I have ever gotten from Influenster, I blogged about it here, was my Keurig 2.0. Not only did I get this item for free, I got to do a product review about it and I got a ton of coffee with it. Seriously....who can beat that? I use this bad boy every morning and it really is amazing.

Now if you get an account..make sure to stay active. It will help your score and help you get more VoxBoxs. Make sure you also connect all of your social networks. They help with your score!

Now not only do they have their site online but the have the Influenster App out now to. Make sure you download it. It is free and so easy to you!!!

Another note, if you ever want to sign up, let me know. I can send you an invitation to join. Once you join, you can invite your friends as well! So...do you want in on this?
*I was not compensated for this review. All opinions are my own*

Honey Nut Cheerios

This post is sponsored by General Mills and Usher, but my love for their Honey Nut Cheerios and amazing song is all my own!

Growing up, we all have had cereal. One of my favorites is Honey Nut Cheerios. They are so delicious and the perfect breakfast. Over the years I have grown to like them more. This could be because my taste buds are changing and I am getting older. My husband loves these. It is a big family thing for us.

We use this Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast, snacks and we even put it in our chex mix that we make at home. Often times, we are so busy that we have to grab a quick snack. Whether we are driving some where (then you throw some in a bag and go) or eating breakfast at home and finding the quickest meal. This is our go to breakfast snack.

So now thanks to Honey Nut Cheerios, we get to eat a delicious breakfast and we can get some tunes to go along with it. If you want your own free Usher song, it is quite simple. Go to Walmart and get a box of Honey Nut Cheerios. Then go home...enjoy them and find your unique code in the box and follow these steps.

1. On the inside of each participating Honey Nut Cheerios cereal box, find your unique code which is your key to accessing Usher’s new song titled “Clueless”!
2. Go to the campaign landing page and enter your unique code.
3. You will be prompted to on-screen instructions to follow.

But don’t forget, the promotion is available exclusively at Walmart and it ends on December 31, 2014!  Don’t miss out!

Thank you to General Mills and Usher for sponsoring today’s post and inspiring us to start our day with happiness and positivity!

Things I Don't Understand

1. The other day my niece asked for One Direction tickets. I told her yes and I would find some. Well..I did find them and dang are they pricey. $132+ to see these little boys dancing around...no thank you. Yes that are adorable and sing well but it is not worth it to me. I don't even pay that much for when I go to a concert.

2. Why are people already decorating for Christmas? My friend did but she is due to have her baby soon so that I understand. I have seen others though that have bought presents and they are under the tree and everything. What happened to Thanksgiving? Are people just skipping that.

3. Speaking of Thanksgiving....lets talk about Black Friday. I have never been Black Friday shopping. I would love to go..but have not been. My issue though is when stores open at 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving, the workers don't get to enjoy the holiday, we don't get to enjoy because someone at your table is rushing out the door to make sure they get that deal.

4. Snow. It is snowing in the various states and people where I live are wishing it was here. Let's get this straight..you hated the snow last year. You hated driving in the snow last year and complained about all the shoveling you did. WHY DO YOU WANT IT AGAIN?

5. And then this. The picture says it all.

Have a good Friday!

Rant.

Yesterday the web was buzzing about Kim K. and her booty. Last night it was about her frontal pic. I am disgusted with this. I know some people are like she can do what she wants, don't look at it..yada yada.

How can you not look at something that is literally all over the net? It is on Buzz feed, twitter, Facebook, and every news site around. I can't get online without someone mentioning it or tweeting something about. There are some things, in my opinion, that are better off left private. She shared something that should have never been shared. That is for her and Kanye to enjoy..not the world. She got mad over a sex tape but is all HEY look at my ass!

I have never really liked the Kardashian family. They are famous for nothing. They are not actors, writes, singers, models, etc. They are famous for just being there and for the world to make fun of. No one takes them serious. They are materialistic brats to me. To me, they should of have their 15 minutes of fame and then slunk away. I will be happy when I can go on websites and not see something about Kim's ass. It is a butt. It is rather large and more than likely fake. Photoshop is great but also gives false perspectives on things.

I know I should not let something like this bother me but it is. If she wants to show all...go be a stripper or porn star. FYI Kim....you can be classy and look amazing and sexy without stripping all your clothes off. There is no need for that.

Just because you are famous doesn't mean you can not have class or taste. I really hope someone let's her know how horrible those pictures are. If she wants to show off her figure before her baby, wear tight clothes. I feel as if her priorities are so jacked up. She does not think or care about others. Just her and Kanye.

They have done nothing amazing or anything that is worth putting in the news besides this. They don't help charities out, they don't try to raise money for poor/sick.

If you are perfectly okay with the pictures and have no problem with them, would you be ok if your child/nephew/niece got online and saw that? With it being all over the web..they will see it.

Ok..rant over. I am tired of talking or spending more time on this useless couple.

OUAT

Okay I have to confess something. My love for all things OUAT. If you do not know what that is..then you do not watch the show. Once Upon A Time.  It is amazing. I binged watched the last 3 seasons on netflix to catch up before season 4 started. It was worth it. Now every Sunday I am glued to the TV and if anyone talks, I freak out on them.

Now if you do watch this amazing t.v. show, you know how hot some of the male characters are. When I say hot..I mean they put some other actors and singers to shame. My favorite of course is ole Captian Hook, a.k.a. Colin O'donoghue.

Now beside that hot man, I love the story it self. OUAT it set in Storybrooke Maine and the Enchanted Forest. It has a ton of fairy tale characters and some new ones. I suggest to everyone to start from Season 1, catch up and watch Season 4. It is one of the best shows ever. I may biased but hey, who isn't! If you are a fan, who is your favorite character?

Growing My Hair

About a 1/2 years ago I chopped my hair off. I had super long, blonde hair and I chopped it to my shoulders and went brown/red. The past 6 months I have wanted to grow out my hair. I also have stopped straightening it with a flat iron as it was getting badly damaged. I now only blow dry it straight.

Right now it is just past my shoulders. I use a heat protecting spray and some volume stuff to help it grow and keep it protected.

I have an ultimate goal for my hair and I want a certain look once it is grown out. I want long long hair with cute curls. I am loving the look below but I have no idea how to style my hair this way.

Now the problem is I can not do my hair for anything. When I curl it right now, I look like a puff ball. I love the way these curls are and I have no idea how to do that. Any tips..let me know!

Lately.

Lately I have not been blogging much or being on my personal social media. I have been on the stores stuff but I have laid off of my own. My husband says every night I just sit over on the couch and I either have my phone or my ipad in my lap. I know this is true but it is so hard to put the stuff down. I am addicted.

I am having to balance a full time job, my clothing boutique, and my own life. We are also trying for a child. Chris told me the other night that when we have a kid I won't have time for social media like I do now. This is true. I am not even sure if I will keep the store when we have a child. I would love to but it just depends on how busy I get. My store is my baby. I have really grown it and I want to keep it going. I would love to open a storefront one day.

We are still trying to get pregnant. I am still not pregnant to my knowledge. A lot of people around me are either pregnant, just had a kid or trying as well. A lot of bloggers seem to be getting pregnant as well. I discussed this with a friend and she said it was the same for her. It is not that more people are getting pregnant, it is just I am noticing it more and it affects me more now, because I am trying. Let's keep our fingers crossed, say a prayer for us and wish and pray that I get pregnant.

I also am trying to lose weight. I work out but I have slacked off the last week and I need to get back with it. I want to lose 15 more pounds and I will be happy. I don't want to be super skinny. I love my size and curves. I just want to look good. I want to fit in one size below that I am now. I could wear it a year ago..I can do it again!

That is what has been going on in my life lately. Have a wonderful Friday!

Guess What!

I know I have been away all week...my bad. I have been working on something new though. I like to try my hand at so many things and I finally have started to learn a few design things.

Now...I am selling prints on Etsy! You can find them here.

I also will make anything custom that you want. I am getting a ton of things to help me with this!

Let me know if you want something! Everything is $5.00 right now.
