Maine

It is that time again. I leave for vacation for Maine. I had such a crush on this state. I am so ready to be up there. If you have never been...you need to go. I go every year and every year I love it and fall more in love with it. If I had it my way, we would move there.

Be prepared for a recap when I am back. I plan on taking a ton of pictures this year!

What does this mean? No blogging for a week. If you want to hop on here for me..let me know!

Dog Takeover..again.

Hey guys. Itsy here. Mom is super lazy and has not updated this thing since Sunday. I mean honestly, how can she have a blog if she won't post? Lazy bish.

Lately my days have been jammed packed. I like to sleep until 5:30 a.m. at which point I find it suitable to jump all over mom and dad because obvy I have to pee. Do they take me out? Nope. Mom waits until she is done getting ready and then takes me out. I have to demand food from her. I like to go up to the counter and bash my head against the door where the food is. Mom thinks I am cute and wants to tease me and ask if I want my food. What do you think woman??

One of my favorite things to do is lay on the couch. I don't like to just lay it on, I have my own personal seat! I love the middle of the couch. It is my own special seat that I refuse to off of. I also love spreading my dog hair all over it!

Lately I have also taking up spying. I am super sneaky and love to just stare the animals down that come in my yard. If my parents would just open the door and let me chase them, they would have alot less of my nose marks on the windows!

The other night I fell asleep with my tail in my mouth. Mom and dad thought it was so cute....I did not. Have you woken up with a pile of dog hair in your mouth...it is very gross. Note to fur parents:Help a dog out sometimes!

Well I need a nap so I will let mom take her blog back!

Chili's At Home

*Many thanks to Bellisio Foods for sponsoring today's discussion and keeping my meals tasty and bold!*

I have to take lunch to work alot of the time and finally there are some tasty, quick meals from Chili's! I am such a huge fan of Chili's already before this and now that they Chili’s® at Home , these meals are quick, easy and ready to go, as am I! I am normally very busy and making a quick meal for work can take more time than is needed. Being able to grab one of these and go, saves me so much time..plus they taste delicious!

I was very excited to try these out and boy am I glad I did! They don't taste sticky or rubbery. They are packed full of flavor and taste delicous. Which ones have you tried? I not only take these to work to eat but I also have them at home for a quick meal with my husband.

Bellisio Foods is collaborating with Chili’s® Grill & Bar to bring a line of frozen single-serve entrees and multi-serve meals made for adventurous taste buds on a flavor mission. Bellisio Foods, a leading frozen foods manufacturer, partnered with Chili’s® Grill & Bar earlier this year to introduce a new line of licensed Chili’s®-inspired frozen meals — boldly flavored and deliciously prepared to enjoy at home.

The new line of Chili’s® frozen foods is inspired by some of the restaurant’s most popular and innovative dishes. Chili’s® new line of frozen foods delivers the bold, southwestern flavors and same great taste for which Chili’s® is known, with entrĂ©es like Pepper Jack Mac ‘N’ Cheese and Chicken Fajita Rice Bowl.
Chili’s® new line of frozen foods is available at major retailers nationwide, including Walmart, Kroger, Safeway, Food Lion, H-E-B, Meijer, Giant Eagle, Schnucks and many more. Chili’s® frozen foods is igniting innovation in the frozen food aisle — a retail category that has been frozen in time for decades, and one in which inventiveness is unexpected. Chili’s® frozen foods let consumers treat themselves or their families to the experience of bold Chili’s®-inspired flavors — right in their own homes.

We tried the Bacon Mac N Cheese and the Seasoned Chicken Bites with Honey Chipotle Sauce. These are by far the best frozen meals out there! The chicken bites were my favorite and I am going to keep them in stock at my house. You need to try them out and check out their bold and and tasty flavors that Chili’s® at Home offers at your local retailer.

I got mine at Walmart and they had all the tasty and bold flavors in stock. Let me know which you have tried!!

4miler Weekend

This weekend I am running a 4 mile race where I live. I am very excited for this race. It will be the first race I run with no obstacles, no colored corn starch being thrown on me. I hope I get a good time as I am trying to be a time from a previous race with obstacles in it. This is great preparation for me as I am running in the Mudderella race coming up in September.

Tomorrow I have no one to run with. It will be just me, my self and whatever other personalities I bring to the party. I don't like running alone but hopefully I can stay motivated to run tomorrow!

The only down fall of the race tomorrow is I have to be there at 6:30 a.m. That is completely craziness but I am all for it! Check back next week for my results from the race! Wish me luck!

My Opinions

Today I heard Taylor Swifts new song on the radio. I listened waiting to see what it sounded like because she is now "pop" and not "country". I normally don't tweet things that I think and don't say out loud but yesterday I tweeted how I was glad she was going to pop. I personally can't stand her music. She sings and whines about break ups, hating men and all the other stuff she spews out .I have never thought of her as a country singer. To me she has always been pop music. When I heard her new song, I hated it. I still do. I feel like she is over played and not as talented as other artist. Sorry..but that is my opinion.
(i must admit the video is good to her new song....this is after I wrote this)

ALS Ice Challenge. This has been everywhere. Its on my Facebook feed, my instagram feed and every where else. I personally would rather donate money then do the challenge. I feel like most people that are doing the challenge are not donating at all except for the celebrities. I know that they are saying the ice/water is what it feels like if you have ALS but I am sorry. DONATE MONEY. If you really want to help, then that is the right thing to do.

Tattoos at work. I over heard someone making a comment the other day about tattoos and how they don't look good. I have one on my leg and it is rather large. It is of a moon blowing out music notes. I know I work in a professional setting but we are in 2014. Tattoos are widely accepted. I want people to not stare at my leg, not say comments about how I could wear stockings and when you comment on someone else tattoo, trying to be mindful of others that may have them.

End of my opinions for the day.

Ready for Fall

I am so ready for fall to be here. Summer in Virginia is either amazing or hell. Right now it sucks. It is dreary...raining and just gross. If it is going to be fall weather..please bring fall now.

Here are a few reasons why I am ready for fall!!

1. The obvious is Pumpkin Spice Latte. This was the first drink I ever ordered at Starbucks and it is still my favorite to this day. I can not wait for it to be back next week.

2. Boots, leggings and sweater. I mean honestly...you can look cute and feel super comfortable. Fall clothes are my favorite to wear and I am ready for them!!

3. Festivals....we have so many festivals in Virginia that I am geared up and ready. Bring on apple picking and some fresh apple butter!

4. The leaves. People can say it is so pretty when the leaves change in the northern states but here in Virginia we have Skyline Drive and the blue ridge mountains. It is GORGEOUS when the leaves change but then all the tourist show up.

What are some reasons you are ready fall? Or do you not want it yet?

Current Obsessions!

I have not done one of these in awhile so I thought I would show you what I am currently fawning over! I am in love with so much stuff but this is what I have my eye on!

1. Alex and Ani bangles/bracelets. I mean honestly they are adorable and there is quiet a few I would love to have. I am planning on going by there very soon.  If you have one..do you love it?

2. The Naked Palettes from Urban Decay. I really want one but I am CHEAP and won't buy one. Someone want to send me one??

3. Groopdealz. I know..odd but I can't help my self when it comes to this site. I buy stuff all the time and I don't need to. Today I bought a shirt with Virginia on it in glitter and my initials. I have a problem.

4. Tony Lama boots..one pair in particular. I want these boots bad but I can't see spending $225.00 on a pair. If Tony Lama wants to send me a pair..I am game!

I saw someone I know post on Facebook about how their lives have turned out and how it is not what they expected, whether it be in a good way or a bad way. When I look back at myself, 10 years ago, I was in 11th grade in high school. I thought I knew every thing and I was a bratty teenager. I would have never predicted I would be where I am and who I am with.

10 years ago I was in band, I was just going through my life with no plan. I was a high school student who just went to school, saw friends and went about my day. I did not have a goal set out for college. I did not take extra classes or anything to help with college. I do not think I would do it over though. I am where I am today because of myself and decisions I have made. Honestly..I like where I am.

I would not have dreamed that 10 years ago I would be married to my best friend of almost 5 years, I would be wanting to start a family and have a little one, or that we would have built our own house and have everything that we have. My life is not for everyone but it is for me and I love it. I would never change a minute of it nor would I go back to relive moments.

Life is a funny thing. You have no idea where you are going or who you really want to be. You never have it all figured out. You learn along the way.

P.S....enjoy some pics from highschool!

Allergy Attack

Last night I was laying with my pup on the couch. If you follow me on twitter, IG, or facebook you would have seen the picture that I had to upload. I am a fur mom..of course I did that.

Well 30 minutes after we snuggled I broke out sneezing. Not just any ole sneezing. This was the make you pee your pants, hurt your throat, sneeze for 2 hours straight crap! It was horrible and I was miserable. I couldn't go to bed, I couldn't do anything! I know I have seasonal allergies. I know I have a slight allergy to my dogs. NOTE: I will never get rid of my dogs, I love them and I would suffer before I get rid of them.

Today I am stuffed up, my throat hurts and I don't feel good. I am not sick..it is just the aftermath of last night. I even had to put them in doggy jail because I couldn't have them in the bed with me.

After a benadryl, a allergy and cough medicine I finally got relief from my sneezing. Now..here is my dilemma. I stopped taking ALL OF MY MEDS including my daily allergy pill as we are trying for a baby soon. What can I do to protect me from my pups and still be able to snuggle with them?

Lately

Lately I have been figuring things out and changing things in my life. We are cutting things out and preparing for when we get pregnant. I have cut out things that I do not need. I no longer have Ipsy, Barkbox and things like that. It was really adding up to be alot of money that I was wasting every month.  My pinterest is over loaded with baby stuff. I have about 7 secret boards all dedicated to baby/pregnant things. Am I pregnant yet? Nope! Am I completely excited to be...YEP! Once we become pregnant..I will make them not so secret but for now people do not need to see how crazy am I.

I am loving the weather. It is not to hot, not to cold. It is has been beautiful in Virginia and I hope it stays this way. I am ready to go to Maine because I know the weather there is amazing this time of year. I would move to Maine if I could stand the winters but I am pretty sure I couldn't.

I am also getting ready for Muderrella. If you are local and are running the Virginia one. Let me know! I would love to meet up with some people before hand. Normally in 5ks I can run the entire thing. I know this one I can not. It is 5-7 miles and it is going to kill me. This is my last run before baby! Fingers crossed I do well!

I am also loving some Maddie and Tae. If you have not heard their song that is out, it is below. I love it and it is hilarious! Make sure you watch the video!

That is life around here lately!

I Broke Up With My Flat Iron

Me and my hair do not get along. On Friday I finally decided to get a trim after trying to grow it out. I am one of those people who wait FOREVER to get it trimmed thinking it is better when it really is not. I am pretty sure the girl at the salon wanted to whack all of my hair off. She fussed a little about how bad it is to use a flat iron every day and I need to have some sort of heat protection on my head.

Well after my trim and having to take 2 inches off that I did not want to lose, I broke down and brought the Matrix Iron Tamer for my hair. I LOVE IT. It is amazing. That stuff is like crack for your hair. I have not had to straighten my hair since Friday morning. My hair is soft, not as flat and straight. I use a round brush when I blow dry it now and I am happy with the way it looks.

I was killing my hair when I flat ironed it every day. It was not looking healthy. I have banned my self from my flat iron. As much as I love it I had to break up with it. We were just not getting along. I have a great flat iron, it is a Chi...I love it but from now on..it is going to stay hidden away unless it is needed.

I am not sure how I did not know to do this sooner. The lady at the salon did tell me some tricks to help with the round brush so that may be it!
