Back that azz up Friday!

I finally decided to hop on the cool kids train and link up with one of my all time favorite bloggers. No really, this chick is what got me into blogging. I stalked her for awhile and then gave this gig a try. Whitney is the cats meow!

So I pretty much only listen to country music any more. I used to listen to all pop/rap music but my country roots came back to me and country music is my one true love in music. I love driving with the windows down and blasting it. This morning when I got turned on my radio this was the first thing playing and that is a wonderful thing! It put me in a great mood!

Another lovely country song that I love to jam out in my windows is my girl Gretchen Wilson. Something about loud redneck just makes me happy.

And for tonight....since it is Friday....this is my jam for tonight for partying! Any country folk will get the point!

Have a fabulous weekend!!!

The Party Don't Start Till I Walk In

I love this link up so much and my girl Chelsee is one of the host and Steph is also one.  I was struggling this morning about what to post but finally settled on one topic that is near and dear to my heart. Food! We all eat food when partying and once we get a little booze in us, we tend to eat whatever is near us. So I give you, my top favorite food to eat when I drink. *WARNING-It may be very unhealthy*

1. Chili cheese dogs-from Sheetz. No where else...Only Sheetz
The best part about this, you can get 2 for $0.99. If you do not have a Sheetz near you, you are missing out.

2. Pizza. Everyone loves Pizza. I do not want Pizza Hut or Domino's though. I want that little pizza joint that has been there for years and the owners are from Italy.

3. Taco Bell. Heaven! I love me some tacos and when I am drinking this is the best food on earth. I may pay for it later.

4.Pickles and Cheese. I know this is a pregnant woman thing but I eat pickles normally. Like a jar a week so when booze is involved I like to put cheese on them. Do not judge me.

5. Nachos with cheese and chili. But..only from 7-Eleven. I know..I am picky. They really have the best around.

The good thing about this is I have to drive to get these or someone else has to, so I do not get this food very often. If I did..I would be as big as a house. Thank god I do not eat this on a regular basis. Thank you baby Jesus.
What are you drunk foods?

Dead Ever After:Sookie Stackhouse Series

I normally do not post book reviews on my blog but I am a secret book nerd. I love my Nook Color and you can catch me reading at night.

This book, Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris was the last novel in the Sookie Stackhouse series. This is also known as the True Blood TV Series.

This book was was a bit of a disappointment to me. I literally read it in one day as I have been waiting a entire year for this baby to come out. I even paid the hefty price that Barnes and Noble asked. It was a good read, but Sookie is of course having someone come after her wanting her dead. She is being framed for a murder she did not commit. She is also having issues with Eric like normal. Of course everything turns out okay but I feel like the book was rushed and wrapped up to quick and Sookie ended up with Sam somehow in a quick 5 minute conversation that made no sense to me. She was supposed to be with Eric. It made no sense to me. I feel some what let down with how she built this entire series and then she rushed this last book just to end it with Sookie ending with Sam.

The rest of the series is amazing but I was not impressed with this book. I do not want to give anymore away...even though I gave a lot already so I the entire series from start to finish. It is worth it but be prepared to be let down.

Struggle-litis to the max

Today is a struggle-litis day for me. I Googled this word to see if it was even a word and my blog came up so I guess no one else uses it. Go me. Lets recap how my day has went since I woke up at 5:40..which I do every day.

So far today I have had to chase my dog through the field to get her back..she was fine with this and thought we were playing. Thanks Itsy.

I had to clean up toilet paper off the floor when I got out the shower also, thanks Itsy, since she thought it was her personal chew toy. I have had to, over the past few weeks, learned to pick up the trash can, since this little girl wants to get in the trash when I am in the shower and destroy anything in it. She now has learned to just take the toiled paper right off the roll on the wall and go to town. This started today.

I can not really be mad at her because she is so darn cute but damn it, cut the shit dog!

I then proceeded to hit my head getting out of the car to come to work.

I then tripped while walking my 10-15 minute walk to my office from the garage.

Can my day get any worse? I should probably not type this as it probably can as this has all happened in a few short hours.

It could be worse honestly...I could be Amanda Bynes. But I am not..THANK JESUS FOR THAT.

Negative People

Due to the people who want to post comments anonymously on my blog...please grow up. You said I own these dogs because they are "mocho"...not so dogs are the biggest babies you will meet. The only reason you think they are "mocho" is because that is what the media and what you, yourself, is making them out to be.  You also wanted to attack me because I live in the think I am a country hick..try again.

I own these dogs because they are sweet and lovable dogs. They do not fight other dogs nor do they bite anyone or me. You have problems with your self. You are a horrible person to personally attack me, my dogs and this breed. I WANT YOU TO STOP READING MY BLOG. I do not need someone like you on my blog.

Also..thanks for personally attacking me. You do not know me and you also do not have a pitbull because you do not know what they are really like. Please screw off!

Puppy Love

The other day I saw a news article about 2 pitbulls that were abused and mutilated and left on the side of the road here in Virginia. One had to be put to sleep and the other was lucky enough to be saved. I am a very strong animal rights person, but so much more for pitbulls for 2 big reasons.

My 2 babies are both pitbulls....and they are my world. I think that people need to judge the deed and not the breed. These dogs are the biggest babies you will ever meet. They will lick you to death before bite you. They will eat a bug maybe and nothing else. Every dog, no matter what breed is amazing and no dog deserves to be abused or mistreated.

When I take them out in the public....people are scared of them when they come up to them because of the media and what people say. These dogs are amazing and just want love.

Just remember...these are great dogs and the worst thing they will do is lick you. Please do not be afraid of them.

Food Poisoning 2013

So the past few days I have been fighting a sickness. I may have made some food that was in my freezer for A VERY LONG TIME. It may have been in there when we lost post for days...and it thawed...and refreezed. I fixed it the other night..not thinking. Go me.

This weekend I was supposed to go out of town to see friends in PA...but what happened? I was super smart and gave me and the husband food poisoning. GO ME! I pray I am better by tomorrow..I need booze at least. I am also pretty sure the husband will never let me cook again.

Also..I have been watching bridezillas with the husband. How do these women even get away with how they act? Planning my wedding I did not freak out once...except when we had tuxedo issues and I told them they had to bring them to me the day of the wedding. I did not scream at my bridesmaids..I did not yell at everyone around me. Did anyone else act like a bridezilla????I do not get that. It is a great day...cherish it.

Really..who does that? Cray Cray women..that is who!!! I would of stabbed that cake after the stress she put everyone through.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and Memorial Day. Drink lots of wine/beer and remember what the day is really for.

Emotion Overload

Last night was a emotional roller coaster for me. Normally I am a nice well balanced machine and I do just fine in maintaining all of my emotions. Last night I was watching TV and The Voice came on. Miranda Lambert (my girl crush) sang Over You with her husband Blake Shelton. It was a tribute for Oklahoma. I lost it. I just broke down crying.

I guess with everything going on lately I just lost it. I feel like this world is just going nuts. I know we can not control a natural disaster but every time we turn around something happens. Everyone is fighting, trying to kill each other, hurting each other.  It is getting out of control and making everyone scared to do anything. We shouldn't be afraid to live.

Basically...the world needs a drink and we all need to get along. We all need to stop the violence and be happy. We need to be thankful for what we have and stop hurting one another, in small ways as well.  Stop gossiping, stop being negative, just be nice. It starts with the little things and has to work its way up.

I had my good cry last night..I let it out and I was good. Everyone is allowed to cry. It is okay to do that. The people who say they do not cry just go somewhere else to do it in private. Do not be afraid to be sad or upset. It is okay.

Careless Driving

Normally I am not into posting something serious but this made me REALLY MAD today.

While driving to work I was cut off today. I usually am but not like this. This big ole SUV decided to speed like a nut and when they thought they couldn't pass me got behind me, then decided to pass me and then slammed on the brakes in front of me. I am completely against careless driving. You can really hurt someone.

I did block out their license plate to protect their identity. I am also stopped in traffic and not driving while taking the picture.

Now this vehicle also decided to do this to other cars, weave in and out of traffic and just drive like a maniac. At first I thought it was a young kid or something being dumb but then as I got farther to work I realized they may be on their way to the hospital. I work by a major one in Virginia. This DOES NOT give anyone any reason to drive like that. If you have a relative in the hospital, they are being taken care of already and you driving like a fool will not help them out. If someone is in your vehicle and you are trying to get them to the hospital....and they are in that bad of a should have called the ambulance.

There is never a reason to drive like a complete nut. EVER!

Why My State Rocks!

Grab button for NBD
<div class="NBD-button" style="width: 200px; margin: 0 auto;"> <a href=" " rel="nofollow"> <img src=" " alt="NBD" width="200" height="200" /> </a> </div>
Hey Everyone! Today Chelsee and I are hosting a one time link up! This is my first ever link up! It is called Where I Come From! You basically post about where you come from. Either the state or town. What is is famous for, what do you do for fun there, why do you love/hate it! This lets other bloggers know more about you and what you love about your state/town.
The Rules:
1. Follow myself and Chelsee.
2. Post the link and link back to me.
3. Look at other peoples post to learn about other places!!!

Now I am from the lovely state of Virginia! I was born here...left for a brief stint to WV but I am back!

Now...some things that makes this place pretty freaking awesome!
Our colleges kinda rock!
2. Dave Matthews Band was formed here in good ole Charlottesville where I live. If you are ever here..visit Millers on the downtown mall..thats there old stomping ground.
3. Big and Rich/ the Big part..Big Kenny is from Culpeper and Parachute is from Charlottesville. BOOM. (enough celebs I know!)
4. We have a ton of wineries..even Donald Trump (I know I know) opened one here...we love to drink.
If anyone wants to come for a day of wine tasting..I CAN TAKE YOU HERE!
5. You can buy booze in gas stations and grocery stores here people. We like our booze..see a pattern?
6. Being near Charlottesville..we have a great concert venue right in our back yard. I get to see some amazing shows, Miranda, Dierks, Eric Church, Kip Moore and a ton of others.
7. We have amazing views year round. We have Skyline Drive. It is so pretty up there.
8. We are so dang historic...Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, Jamestown, Middleburg..and the battlefields go on for days.
9. Tysons Corner..look it up.
10. We are very close (where I live) to DC..which is really nice to go to on a boring day.
11. The festivals...sheez. I swear we have one for everything...seriously. We have a ton of craft fairs and festivals.
12. Amusement parks like crazy. Virginia must have been boring at some point because they have put a ton of stuff here for us to do. We have Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. can have a little fun there. It isn't Disney but hey!
Things that are not so great:
1. Chris Brown..we tried kicking him out of the state but no one else wanted him.
2. Winter sucks here! It is either warm and no snow or a TON OF SNOW.
3. Deer. If you live where I live in VA...deer are insane and think that jumping in front of your car is a game...they sometimes stand in the road and just stare at you. Hunting here is more a requirement....sorry if you are a vegan.
4. Spring feels like it is only here for a month...and sometimes less than that.
That is my state in a nut shell. There is so much more but this is some of the heavy hitters!!! If you ever come visit..there are a ton of bloggers from here that can make a wine date.

What is in your night stand?

*This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of*
Well I have a nightstand with 2 drawers...they are filled with junk. I said it..filled to the brim. I would love to have a cute, neat night stand like these below, but I don't.

And how cute is this one!

I should really clean mine up and make it nice and tidy but...I won't. It is a big cluttered mess. You would think I would have before this post but I didn't!

What I do have on the top of it is:
1. A picture of me and the hubs. I love waking up and seeing his face..even though he is beside me.
2. My cell normally when I am home and a cell stand.
3. My nook color..I am addicted to reading...even though I do not blog about it.
4. A glass of water normally.
5. A few shot glasses I have collected over the years.
In the drawers you find odd and ends thing, a few purses that I have stuffed in their to hide from my husband, a ton of phone charges, my nook charger, cable chargers to things I do even know what they go to. I even have some fun things in the top drawer. I have my fun toy that all ladies know what I am talking about. I actually have nothing else that is interesting beside my bed. I am pretty boring.
Now is pretty amazing has some great information on their site if you are trying to figure out what type of birth control you want for your self. I myself am on Quasense. It is a form of Seasonale. It is a extended cycle pill. You only get 4 menstrual cycles a year. I love that! I love being able to go do things and not being controlled by my period. I have tried a few regular pills but this one is by far my favorite. I have no issues with it, my cycle is normal and I have not gained any weight on it. You just take it at the same time every morning and if you miss one, take it when you realize you have missed it. I have been on this for 3 years now and it really is amazing.

One thing I have found is to set reminders when you first start your birth control with the pill. I find that putting a alarm on your cell phone works great but has a great method as well. You can set up reminders for your doctor appointment as well as when you take your pills or even if you are on the Nuva Ring..when to replace it! Just go here! is having a contest! Here is what you have to do:

  • Follow on Pinterest.
  • Create your own Pinterest board titled, “What’s in My Bedsider Drawer?”
  • Repin this rules pin found here and at least one Bedsider’s 15 contest images found here from their board titled, “What’s in My Bedsider Drawer?” Be sure to tag each pin with the hashtag, #BedsideDrawer.
  • Pin at least 5 additional images to represent your ideal bedside drawer. Tag each pin with the hashtag, #BedsideDrawer.
  • Share your board’s URL on the Bedsider’s Facebook page here. Make sure to enter by 11:59 PM PST on May 29, 2013!

  • Every girl has that bedside drawer that holds the bedroom essentials: their Kindle, a pair of reading glasses, sexy lingerie. – whatever fits their personality. No matter what your drawer says about you, there’s birth control that will fit right in. Find the best method for your routine and style at
