Valentines Day

Tomorrow is the lovely Valentines Day. Some hate this day or they love this day! There is no in between!

Me and the hubs normally are making plans a week in advance and I am super happy and bubbly. Not this time. For some reason I am just whatever and fine with whatever happens. We actually have NO PLANS. Nothing, not one thing planned out.

I know..we should but happens! I have seen post already of people getting gifts, going to dinner and other lovely things. I am being completely serious when I say this but at this point I am giving the hubs a card and beer with a bow on it. I used to love Valentines Day but anymore I am just like whatever! I do not want him or me to go blow tons of money on gifts. I bet we go to dinner at some point but who knows when that will be? I would settle for pizza and a movie at the house really! I am over this whole day. Now the other holidays..I do not play around! Spoil me please!

Some people become so nuts over this day. I saw some guys buying big ole teddy bears the other day in the mall and of course Zales and Kays was packed! Then there are the awkward men who venture into the Victoria Secret store and attempt to guess the sizes of the women in their lives. When they can't they ask someone around them their size and it just gets super creepy! I guess we put a lot of pressure on the guys?

If you are single, you could go out with your friends and go to dinner, dancing, drinking, or get together and bash men and watch movies all night. You can make food or have a valentine party and make your friends your valentine!  If your a fellow and your single....just drink! OR you can just ignore this holiday and act as if it is not even here!

  1. Girl, I'm right there with you when it comes to not making a big deal out of it! We used to when we first started dating, and then again right after we got married, but as the years come and go, we show love throughout the year, and it's not worth it to (like you mentioned) blow money on little gifts here and there.

I admit, I did get flowers, but that's it. I'm also contemplating buying my hubby a case of beer....great minds think alike!

  2. I've never made a big deal of Valentines day and always requested that whoever I was dating at the time not make a big deal out of it either. To me it's just another day. Why would I want someone to be thoughtful on a day that they are "supposed" to be. If you're going to be thoughtful, do it means more that way.

Hey leave me some love! I love reading your comments and I always reply!
