Today dad came home from the hospital so I made some chili and took it over to him! My chili recipe is very easy.
2 cans of tomato sauce
2 cans of kidney beans or whatever beans you prefer
1 cup of corn
1/2 cup of water
1/2 lb of hamburger
1 package of taco seasoning
I also add onion, garlic powder and mrs.dash seasonings for flavor. Cook the hamburger first and then add all of the other ingredients with the hamburger together in a pot and let it cook until ready! It only took me about 30 minutes or so and it is amazing.
I went over and saw the parents..took food...and got a new scentsy warmer. I have 4 scentsy warmers in my house. I love them. They are the wickless warmers. You put the wax in the top of these glass containers and they have bulbs in them and they plug in the wall. I have them through the entire house and they make the entire house smell amazing. One room smells like lemons and berries while another smells like cinnamon and the bedroom smells like cheesecake!! My mom sells the stuff so its nice to just go over and get them from her. If you need any..let me know :)
Well thats it for now...I am gonna go play with the pup! xoxo

We finally got the Internet at the house today. Because we live in the middle of no where we had to get satellite Internet so now we have a lovely satellitevdish on the side of the house. Luckily no one can see the house so it is not that bad of a eye sore and it is hidden on the side of the house. It has a pretty fast speed as well which I love! I will be blogging a lot more I bet..which you would think would not be possible right? LOOK OUT WORLD!
I saw this and it looked amazing!! I can not wait to make this. Possibly this weekend? Maybe??
1 fudge brownie mix (13-inch x 9-inch pan size)2 packages (13 ounces each) miniature peanut butter cups
4 cups cold 2% milk
2 packages (5.1 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup creamy peanut butter
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cartons (8 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Bake in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack; cut into 3/4-in. pieces. Cut peanut butter cups in half; set aside 1/3 cup for garnish. In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes (mixture will be thick). Add peanut butter and vanilla; mix well. Fold in 1-1/2 cartons whipped topping. Place a third of the brownies in a 5-qt. glass bowl; top with a third of the remaining peanut butter cups. Spoon a third of the pudding mixture over the top. Repeat layers twice. Cover with remaining whipped topping; garnish with reserved peanut butter cups. Refrigerate until chilled
I also want to give credit to http://loulousucre.blogspot.com/2012/04/peanut-butter-brownie-trifle.html That is who originally pinned and blogged this.

My favorite find there was this crock/barrel thing I got on Sunday for $30.00. I love stars and I have them everywhere in my house so this fits right in!
We saw these and were not sure what they were but if you know..please explain!!!
They have built the hay into a lot of different things all around the place so it made fun picture time!!!
We went into the hay maze even though we were probably to old...but who cares!! So here we are trying to find our way out.

I went to the local football game on Friday and had a blast. It was against the big rival team. I was shocked though at how little the school showed up. I guess people do not come out to football games anymore. I was really cold though.and we were freezing so that could.have had something to do with it. We won 49-14 woot! !

1. Starbucks Pumpkin Spice. I tried it for the first time this year and it is amazing. I now drink this about 3 times a week. It is within walking distance from my office which is now bad news for me and I am not sure what I am going to do when it gone.
2. Pumpkins!! We grew our own pumpkins this year. We threw our old pumpkins last year in our garden and we ended up getting 5 pumpkins this year out of it. That was a nice money saver right there!
3. The leaves changing in Virginia are amazing! I live right by Skyline Drive. I can walk to it through our backyard..its a LONG walk but I can do it if I ever wanted to and we drive up there when the leaves change and its beautiful. If you ever get the chance to see the leaves changing in Virginia..do it. It is amazing.
4. Fall festivals. We have so many fall festivals around here it is hard to pick which to go to. In Madison, we have Graves' Apple Harvest. Over the mountain there is Dayton Days. You can get so many things for your house, there is apple picking..there is to much to name off.
5. Pumpkin roll. This is one of my favorites. I have never been able to make this. I buy one at Yoders http://www.yoderscountrymarket.net/ and it beats every one I have ever tried.
6. Pumpkin Pie...who does not love a good pumpkin pie? They are so good and put a little ice cream or whip cream on top? Very good. I love baking these and they make the house smell good.
7. Yankee Candle Spiced Pumpkin. I am all about burning candles in my house. I love the smell of them and nothing can beat them. I love Yankee Candles because they last a very long time and the Spiced Pumpkin smells amazing!
These are just a few reasons I love fall..what are yours? I would love to hear them!!!
I have made this and have had it at a lot of office get together and at relatives houses. This is very easy to make and very good. I got this recipe from my friend Michele but saw this on Pinterest so thought I would share her recipe with it as well. It is very good and I think it taste better than baked mac-n-cheese!

For the syrup:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup honey
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Pinch ground cloves
- Pinch ground cardamom (this is hard to find so I always leave it out)
For the filling and dough:
- 1 pound walnuts, or a combination of walnuts, pistachios and almonds( I use any type of nuts I have at the house normally and it ends up being walnuts and they work just fine)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 pound phyllo, thawed according to package instructions
Melt the butter over low heat in a small saucepan.
Using a pastry brush, lightly coat a 13 by 9-inch or 15 by 10-inch baking dish with some of the melted butter.
Open the package of thawed phyllo and lay the thin sheets on a clean work surface. Measure the phyllo sheets; if the type you have purchased measures approximately the same size as the baking dish you are using, then proceed from here. If they are larger than your baking dish, use a sharp knife to cut the phyllo sheets approximately the same size as your baking dish. Discard any scraps. Cover the sheets with a piece of plastic wrap and a lightly damp kitchen towel, as the sheets of phyllo dry out very quickly if left uncovered.
Position rack in center of oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Place 1 of the sheets of phyllo in the bottom of the buttered baking dish and lightly brush with some of the melted butter. Repeat this procedure with 6 more sheets of phyllo, for a total of 7 layers. Measure about 3/4 cup of the nut mixture and spread the nut mixture evenly over the buttered phyllo sheets. Repeat with 7 more sheets of phyllo, buttering each layer as before, and top these sheets with another 3/4 cup of the nut mixture. Continue this layering process, buttering 7 sheets of phyllo and topping each 7 sheets with 3/4 cup of the nuts, until you have used all of the nut mixture. Layer any remaining sheets of phyllo on top, buttering between each layer, until all of the phyllo sheets have been used.
Use a sharp knife to make 4 cuts lengthwise through the layered phyllo at 1 1/2 inch intervals. (You should end up with 5 lengthwise strips 1 1/2 inches wide.) Now use your knife to cut diagonally across the strips at 1 1/2-inch intervals to form diamond shapes. You should end up with approximately 36 diamond-shaped pieces of baklava in the baking dish.
Bake the baklava until golden brown, about 40 minutes.
Using oven mitts or pot holders, remove the baklava from the oven and set aside on a wire rack to cool for 5 minutes. Using a ladle or small measuring cup, slowly drizzle the cooled syrup over the warm baklava. Allow to stand several hours before serving.
I find that the dough tends to stick to your fingers when you try to cut it so it helps to have another person there. If the dough rips or come off..just put it back and put more butter on it. No big!
In August we went to Bar Harbor and had a blast like normal. Ever year we go to Maine and have a wonderful time! We went to Bar Harbor twice this time in our trip and had a blast. We love going there and if I had it my way we would move there. It is a cute little town with shops and restaurants. All of the people are just amazing. This year we got to explore Bar Harbor a little more after visiting Acadia National Park. We ate a Geddys which was fabulous! I got mexican food because I am allergic to seafood..I know..why go to Maine if you can't eat it? Its even getting worse every time I eat it. BUT back to Geddys..if you are in the area make sure you stop and eat there. It is wonderful and the staff is awesome.
The shops their selves are amazing! We always stop at http://www.barkharbor.com/ to get Zoey some toys to play with. They also have amazing dog treats that are healthy for your pets to eat and the staff even said they have tried them :). They have so many places to shop there that you can spend all day there and not realize it.
Chris found this huge whale beside one of the restaurants on the piers so I forced him to pose with it :)

If you want a cute center piece for fall that is cheap and easy to make, try! I got the pumpkins and gourds from Walmart and the pinecones. They came with the glitter on top of them and you can piece it together or buy it all in hole. I got the basket at michaels for a few bucks. I did this last fall. I am able to keep it out for fall and Thanksgiving.
They have blue grass music, food, vendors, apple picking, horse back rides, pumpkin pickin and everything else in between! It is alot of fun and a tradition for me and my family to go!! If you are ever in the are make sure you go to http://www.gravesmountain.com/#
If you flat iron, curl, blow dry your hair every day, I would suggest this! It really is amazing! I know the salon ladies push products all the time but this one is worth it!

If anyone else who has this horrible dilema of the typical straight white girl and has some amazing tip/trick to cure it and it does not end with a perm/shaving it all off....I would love to know it!
You can buy them at tractor supply or any local boot supplier normally. If you can not find them, they have a store locater on their web site. These are great to wear to a concert or to just wear every day! If you work on a farm or outside these are great to work outside in. They feel broke in and do not make your feer sore! I find that most people I know have to shop on a budget. If you are like me, you have BIG DREAMS to fill a closet and not the cash. Well I have found that a couple ways to save!
If you sign up for the e-mail specials at the stores, they send out coupons and they send up 15-30%. is really good about this. They tend to send 1-2 a week. has cut out their coupons but if you have their credit card and spend $50.00 you will get a $10.00 coupon in the mail. I know it’s not really worth it unless you are needing to the spend the $50.00.
Another place I love to shop is T.J. . They have name brand clothes for cheap!!! You can get a great steal for a good price. The only down fall is finding the size you need. I love this store!!! Ross is another good one! They are alike. Another store to shop is a shop. People sell their old clothes all the time and want money for them. If you can find a nice one in your area, then I bet you will find good buys. In our area we have a store called Plato's closet, http://www..com/, you can sell your old clothes for money there and take it and either buy someone clothes in that store for cheaper or go somewhere else.
I do not shop in stores you do not get your money out of it so here are a few tips and tricks! Hope they help!
